This may be caused by several things, like gestational age, maternal age, or possibly the mother’s diet. Oral cancer remains a significant public health concern, with a five-year survival rate of approximately 50% due to late-stage diagnoses. Dental hygienists play a crucial role in the early screening of oral cancer through routine intraoral and extraoral examinations. This study evaluates the effectiveness of oral cancer screenings conducted by dental hygienists in referring for further evaluation and their overall perception of the importance and frequencies of these examinations. Research has suggested that birth order or environmental factors affect siblings' oral health status during childhood. However, more recent research suggests that the strongest predictor of children's oral health status is the mother's oral health status. This project investigated the association between the oral health status of the mother during pregnancy and bacteria (biofilms) identified in cavitated lesions (dental caries) of their children’s exfoliated primary teeth. Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the sealing ability of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and 2.25% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) gel mixture in repairing furcal perforation in primary molars using methylene blue dye penetration.

Materials and methods:
It was an in vitro experimental study. Sixty human primary molars were randomly divided into four groups (n = 15).
