Oral ulcerations caused by aphtous lesions, leukoplakia, scarlet fever, syphilis, NOMA, mucormycosis herpetic lesions, candidiasis, discoid lupus erythematous, ulcerative lichen planus, mucous membrane pemphigoid, spongy nevus, oral submoucs fibrosis and pemphigus vulgaris are treated in a step-up fashion that may include topical, intralesional, and systemic pharmaceutical treatment. This page discusses the most often used therapy agents, methods, and dosages. Although the emphasis is on local pharmacologic therapy, systemic illnesses that frequently occur with such oral lesions are briefly discussed, as is the appropriate care.

Background: Cultural gingival tattooing is the practice of placing pigmented material into the maxillary anterior gingiva as a means of aesthetic enhancement, medicinal therapy, or assimilation in some African and Middle Eastern nations.

Case Description: This is a report of a 47-year-old female from Senegal who presented with cultural gingival tattooing for cosmetic purposes. The patient’s maxillary facial gingiva displayed a gradient of blue-grey-black pigment that extended from the right maxillary second molar to the left maxillary second molar.

These forms should be retained for one-year post-employment or three years post-hire. Due to COVID-19, virtual document examination is temporarily allowed, extended until July 31, 2023. Non-compliance can result in costly fines, making regular internal audits advisable for practice adherence.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to provide morphometric and anatomical data for mandibular lingula (Li) in The Turkish population using three dimensional-cone beam computed tomography (3D-CBCT) images. Methods: CBCT images of the patients taken between July 2020 and March 2021, were retrieved from the archival records. A total of 100 Li’s of 50 patients who met the criteria of this study were evaluated. Nevoid Basal Cell Carcinoma Syndrome, also called as Gorlin Gotz syndrome is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by the presence of multiple odontogenic keratocysts (OKCs) of the jaw, basal cell carcinomas and skeletal anomalies. Adherence to the dental practice regulatory guidelines instituted during the COVID- 19 pandemic is essential to minimize the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 strains. Given the lack of a valid and reliable survey tool to assess the adherence to dental practice guidelines, this study aims to develop, validate, and test a survey tool on a pilot sample of dental clinicians practicing in India. This Evidence-Based Dentistry column examines whether articaine, when compared to lidocaine, increases the risk of paresthesia in adults undergoing dental block anesthesia. After conducting a comprehensive literature search, the evidence suggests that 4% articaine may enhance the probability of achieving profound block anesthesia, with a very low risk of paresthesia, comparable to other dental local anesthetics. Considering this evidence in conjunction with the patient's preferences and values is crucial when making clinical decisions.
