Aim: The objective of this study was to evaluate the smile characteristics of adult females with Angle Class II division 2 malocclusion compared to Angle Class I malocclusion. Materials and Methods: Two frontal photographs were taken for 30 orthodontically untreated female adult subjects with age range (18-30) years, at rest and posed smile from a fixed (1.5m) distance between the camera and the subjects. Purpose: This article presents a narrative review of current recommendations for the clinical evaluation and management of adult patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) to identify points missing from a myofunctional perspective.

Methods: The authors reviewed current official guidelines for adult patients with OSA, searching clinical evaluation and treatment recommendations for myofunctional therapy.

Results: None of the current guidelines for evaluation of adult OSA recommend performing a myofunctional evaluation. Only two guidelines consider myofunctional therapy (MFT) as a treatment modality for adult patients with OSA.

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of edentulousness on the temporomandibular joint using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Methods: In this study, CBCT images were evaluated in a total of 48 patients (24 dentulous, 24 edentulous). Ninety-six temporomandibular joint CBCT images were examined. Eminence inclination, condyle head widths and joint space were measured and statistically compared between the edentulous and dentulous groups. Early loss of the lower first molar may cause extrusion of the upper first molar and mesial tipping of the lower second molar.
