Objectives: To evaluate the changes in dental insurance and utilization among pregnant women before and after the pregnancy Medicaid dental benefit policy implementation in 2015 in Virginia.

Methods: We used pooled cross-sectional data from six cycles of the Virginia Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System on women aged ≥21 years. Using logistic regression models and a difference-in-difference design, we compared the effects of policy implementation on dental insurance and utilization between pre-policy (2013-2014) and post-policy period (2016-2019) among women enrolled in Medicaid (treatment, N = 1,105) vs. those with private insurance (control, N = 2,575). To examine oral cancer screening rates and associated factors among adults with periodontal disease (PD). We hypothesized that adults with severe PD will be less likely to report receipt of any type of oral cancer screening than adults with no PD.

Objective: This study aimed to translate and validate the Xerostomia Inventory (XI) and Summated Xerostomia Inventory (SXI) -Thai version in Thai middle-aged and older adults Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study which consisted of translation and validation phases. The XI and SXI were cross-culturally forward and backward translated and validated in 200 middle-aged and older Thai adults. The validity relied on the content, construct, and criterion validity. Background: Although visual inspection is the preferred route in everyday clinical practise for detecting early caries lesions, novel technologies like light fluorescence-based devices (Vista Proof iX HD smart) have been developed to enhance early caries detection. Purpose: The state of Virginia faces a reported dental health professional shortage affecting approximately half of its residents.The purpose of this study was to assess the opinions and attitudes of dental hygienists in Virginia toward a mid-level dental provider model, dental therapists (DTs), and to determine whether current education level and years of practice affected opinions regarding the education requirements for DTs.

The purpose of this study was to examine the expression profiles of RNA and protein in Thai individuals with dental fluorosis and compare them with those without fluorosis. Additionally, the study aimed to establish a correlation between the severity of dental fluorosis, urinary fluoride levels, and water fluoride levels. Methods: Schoolchildren in areas endemic for fluoride in Lamphun and Ratchaburi provinces of Thailand were screened for dental fluorosis severity and then enrolled in the study.
