Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of thickness changes on translucency and masking ability of a recently developed single shade resin composite material with enhanced opacity comparing it with a traditional opaque-shade one.

Material and methods: Two brands of composite resins; Omnichroma blocker (OCB) and G-aenial Anterior (GA) in opaque A2 (OA2) shade were selected to enroll the study. Abstract:

This study tested the effect of different etching methods on the bond strength of a universal adhesive system to caries-affected (CAD)and sound dentin. Methods: forty premolars were wet grinded to expose flat occlusal midcoronal dentin. Specimens were equally divided according to the substrate; sound and (CAD) by exposing to pH-cycling for 14 days. Each dentin substrate was bonded with Single BondTM universal adhesive applied either after no etching or etching of dentin, then resin composite was built up. ABSTRACT

Purpose: This Randomized Control Trial study aimed to compare between two designs of Precision Attachment Unilateral Removable Partial Denture, one conventional design and the other modified with bracing arm and mesial rest.

Materials and Methods: twenty male patients having Kennedy Class II mandibular edentulous ridges received the two designs in a split mouth study for a follow-up period of eighteen months. Probing Pocket Depth around abutment was measured. A standardized radiographic technique was used to evaluate bone height changes.

Results: The results showed insignificant pocket depth and bone height changes in the two groups.

Objective: To radiographically evaluate the proximal marginal fit of the clinically acceptable metal-ceramic crowns.
Methods: The prospective study was conducted at the dental clinics of Aga Khan University, Karachi, from July to December 2018, and comprised metal-ceramic crowns that were evaluated prior to the cementation. Clinical examinations were conducted by seating the crown on the tooth preparation and visual assessment was done using sharp explorer along the margins. Clinically acceptable crowns were then evaluated on the bite-wing radiograph. Any horizontal or vertical inaccuracy of >0.5mm at the proximal margins was recorded as 'discrepancy'. Objective: To analyse the social dissemination of publications by fulltime faculty at a tertiary care facility.
Methods: The retrospective study was conducted at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, and comprised publication records of the fulltime Operative Dentistry faculty members between July 2011 till July 2021. The search was done on Google Scholar, Altmetric Explorer and PubMed electronic databases. After final screening, all the publications in PubMed-indexed journals, including in vitro studies, randomised controlled trials, original research articles, case reports and letters to the editor, for which the Altmetric Attention Score was available were included.

Objective: To analyze the classification of sagittal root position in maxillary central incisors and to evaluate how sagittal root position related to bone thickness, sex and age in Thai population. Methodology: Between 20 and 80 years old, a total of 308 CBCT images of the maxillary central incisor were chosen and classified into 4 classes (I-IV). Objectives: To compare the dimensional changes in the buccal bone thickness of implant placement with simultaneous bone augmentation in the esthetic zone between non-submerged and submerged implants. Materials and methods: Twenty-four patients with a single edentulous area in the esthetic zone were randomly assigned into two groups which were submerged (cover screw) and non-submerged groups (healing abutment). Materials and Methods: A single space edentulism of tooth 11 maxillary models was prepared and inserted with artificial polyurethane bone type 1-4 for the preparation site. Purpose: This study evaluated the association among the dental arch form, age-sex groups, and sagittal root position regarding alveolar bone thickness in the maxillary central incisor using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. Materials and Methods: CBCT images of 280 patients were categorized based on the dental arch form and age-sex groups.
