Checklist Of Mosses Of Oregon, 2022, John Christy, David H. Wagner, David Kofranek 2022 Portland State University

Checklist Of Mosses Of Oregon, 2022, John Christy, David H. Wagner, David Kofranek

Institute for Natural Resources Publications

This list is based on Christy et al. (1982) and supersedes any online versions posted prior to the date shown above. Additions to the flora since 1982 are marked by asterisks, with the earliest known verified sources noted in square brackets. Unless noted otherwise, nomenclature conforms to Flora of North America Volumes 27 and 28. Most family placements follow Goffinet et al. 2014. For convenience, synonyms used by Lawton (1971) and more recent works are provided in square brackets. In general, sources for nomenclatural changes can be found in the TROPICOS database. The checklist is followed by annotated lists of …

Ecological Study Of Iris Unguicularis Cretensis In The Coastal Region Of Syria في المنطقة الساحلية من سورية (Iris Unguicularis Cretensis) دراسة بيئية لنبات سوسن كريت, Zuheir Shater, Tharwat Ibrahim, Mohammad Korbaissa

Arab Journal of Arid Environments المجلة العربية للبيئات الجافة

This search was conducted during 2014 - 2017 in order to determine the distribution area of Iris unguicularis cretensis in the coastal region of Syria, to evaluate the current situation of its habitats, and to determine the best method to reproduce this plant and evaluate its nutritive value as forage. The distribution area was identified through 12 field trips at various types of parent rocks, expositions, and altitudes along the western versant of the coastal mountains in Syria. The properties of natural habitat was examined in 37 samples distributed along a gradient extending from 300 to 1000 m above sea …

Bryophyte Ecosystem Services: How Bryophytes Impact Ecosystem Processes And Their Use In Urban Systems, Keila Spangler

University Honors Theses

Bryophytes, which include mosses, liverworts, and hornworts, are non-vascular plants that provide crucial ecosystem services in natural and urban systems. In natural systems, these services include carbon, water, and nutrient cycling and maintenance of community level biodiversity. In urban systems, bryophytes can be used as green roof substrate, as bioindicators to monitor pollution and air quality, for horticulture uses, and in medicine. Although bryophytes possess some qualities, such as reproduction by spores, that may give them an advantage compared to vascular plants as the climate warms, their response to climate change remains understudied. This paper will review the literature on …
