This report is an investigation of the research practices of faculty and research staff who utilize or support data science or big data methodologies at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). The study was conducted by librarians and library staff within the Kelvin Smith Library (KSL) in collaboration with staff within CWRU University Technology ([U]tech), and was part of national selection of parallel studies occurring at public and private academic institutions throughout North America.

The project ‘Bilingual Voices in the U.S.-Mexico Borderland: Technology-Enhanced Transcription and Community Engaged Scholarship’ piloted technologically-aided transcription methods for two sociolinguistic corpora, supported by the NEH HCRR Planning Grant PW-269430-20. The team aimed to explore and test out several transcription methods in two corpus development internship courses at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and the University of Arizona (UA) during Spring 2021. During 2020-21 two business faculty from different institutions together with OER librarians, undergraduate students, and graduate assistants conspired to create a faculty-access-only test bank aligned to senior undergraduate-level open textbook, Strategic Management (2020) and AACSB Standards. However, little is written about the successes and failures of these “elimination” projects, leaving institutions with minimal guidance for reducing their own un- or under-processed collection backlogs. This paper aims to find the impact of COVID-19 on Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) libraries and the measures taken to overcome the challenges in accessing the information during the COVID-19 situation and render services to the users. A structured questionnaire was prepared and distributed to ten libraries of MAHE at Manipal, India campus. cOAlition S and research funding policies mean open access content is no longer a "trend" but rather another consideration of content management for librarians and libraries. In 2018, the authors of this article launched a new version of TERMS (Techniques for Electronic Resources Management). TERMS 2.0 envisages a post-Plan S e-resources life cycle blending e-resources and open access content management.
