Purpose: The study is on corporate social responsibility activities for public libraries engagement towards the actualization of sustainable development goals (SDGs): a survey of public libraries in south-east and south-south Nigeria. Design/methodology/approach: The survey design was adopted. Data were gathered through questionnaire. Population of study comprised of librarians working in the public libraries in south-east and south-south Nigeria. A total of 77 questionnaires were retrieved and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The research looks into the information literacy skills of students at RIPANS Aizawl, Mizoram. To accomplish the goal, structured questionnaires were distributed to 150 respondents, of which 144 received questionnaires. There were 6 departments, and 25 questionnaires were distributed to students from each department. The results show that several students understand how to access and use information to meet their needs. They go on to say that they needed more information literacy awareness to become information literate, and that they needed a large number of books with the most recent editions in the library to have reliable information. Academic library survey strategies may include implementing standardized and locally-developed survey instruments as part of assessment activities. Standardized instruments such as LibQUAL+, ClimateQUAL, Ithaka S+R surveys, and others are widely used and offer many advantages such as robust development and testing protocols, and may offer the ability to compare data with other institutions who use these instruments. Locally-developed survey instruments, on the other hand, offer the ability to customize instruments with reduced cost and increased institutional specificity. Libraries should evaluate the benefits of each survey type in order to create a strategy that best meets their needs.

With growing accessibility of the Internet, huge impetus is on the global access of information resources. This paper discusses the utilization of e-resources by the faculty members. A survey of 134 faculty members of three oldest agricultural universities of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh was conducted. Morale research over the past several years documents a crisis in the library profession and a 2021 report by Ithaka S+R reveals a confidence deficit in library administrators around work towards equity, diversity, inclusivity and belonging. The connections between belonging, resilience, and morale are strong and immediate action is required to address the crisis. This article posits that a strategic approach to leadership development, with a focus on coaching, is key to bridging the gap. Authentic and adaptive leadership models as supportive strategies are explored and a coaching approach to management is presented to launch readers into their next action.

Integrating formal management training into library school curriculum has been a topic of discussion for years, with varying progress. And in our experience, librarians are rarely given formal training on the job before becoming managers. We need to find ways to support new managers, helping them to acquire skills to handle the interpersonal, economic, and political challenges. Human Resources departments can provide valuable training in policy and procedures of the organization, but libraries have unique management challenges that may not exist elsewhere on campus. Metaliteracy is a holistic model that emphasises information-related knowledge attainment whilst challenging individuals to take charge of their learning strategies and goals. It prepares learners to become informed consumers and responsible producers of information. Metacognition is a core concept in metaliteracy, just as it is in swelf-directed learning (SDL) and in methods of assessment appropriate to SDL, such as assessment as learning (AaL) and assessment for learning (AfL). This congruence provides clear avenues for using metaliteracy’s framework in ways that support SDL. The first part of the chapter explores metaliteracy and its connections with SDL and assessment. Objective:

To perform a systematic review of the findings of iliopsoas release as it relates to resolution of snapping, improvement of groin pain, and associated complications.

Design:

Systematic review.

Data Sources:

Four electronic databases PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, and Web of Science were searched, identifying all literature pertaining to surgical treatment of a snapping hip/coxa saltans, iliopsoas impingement, or iliopsoas tendinitis. A total of 818 studies were identified. Two reviewers independently screened the titles, abstracts, and full-text articles for eligibility.

The guidelines in this manual apply to the creation of authority records for names which appear in the Perso-Arabic script on a manifestation written in the Persian language. In this manual, such names are referred to as “Persian names,” regardless of the origin of the name. Guidance is also provided for names of Iranian origin that appear in other scripts. This manual focuses on personal names, although some examples pertaining to corporate bodies, conferences, and works have been provided.

The season of upheaval brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic is a critical occasion for libraries to revisit their organizational strategies. Strategy includes two complementary dimensions: alignment with the environment and the pursuit of competitive advantage. Rapid changes in the environment call for practicing strategic thinking iteratively rather than engaging in a fixed rhythm of multi-year planning.
