The study investigates the rewards and recognition of librarian’s job performance in some selected university libraries in South-South, Nigeria. A descriptive survey method was adopted for the study. Two research questions were formulated to guide the study. The population of the study consists of 112 librarians in some selected university libraries in South- South Nigeria. A total of 112 copies of the questionnaire were distributed and 101 copies of the questionnaire were retrieved using descriptive statistics mean and percentage mean score of 2.5 and above and percentage score of 50% were considered as acceptable. The purpose of this study was to investigate the usage patterns of OAIRs among university community members in Tanzania universities. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model used to guide this study. The study employed a cross-sectional research design. Systematic random and purposive sampling procedures were used to obtain a total of 292 respondents and eight key informants respectively. Questionnaires and interviews were used to collect quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were analyzed by using SPSS and qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis. This paper presents findings from a survey on the status quo of data quality assurance practices at research data repositories.

The personalised online survey was conducted among repositories indexed in re3data in 2021. It covered the scope of the repository, types of data quality assessment, quality criteria, responsibilities, details of the review process, and data quality information and yielded 332 complete responses.

The results demonstrate that most repositories perform data quality assurance measures, and overall, research data repositories significantly contribute to data quality. Quality assurance at research data repositories is multifaceted and nonlinear, and although there are some common patterns, …

The early gift of books and reprints, and the posthumous donation of books and papers have been integrated into the larger group of office records, making the total size of the collection 56 cubic feet. The arrangement includes office files, patient records dating from the 1940's, correspondence from colleagues as well as hundreds of letters from lay persons acquainted with Dr. Bruch's work on eating disorders. The User Experience: Student Perspectives On Library Course Reserve, Sara Foster, Duane Wilson, Shannon Sanders, Justin Johnson

A group of researchers from an academic library surveyed students to understand how and why the members of their community use course reserve services. Students were happy with the service and used it as a replacement for purchasing textbooks. Frequent users requested more textbook offerings, and both users and nonusers indicated a need for increased promotion of the service. Users provided specific suggestions for improvement that should be examined. Findings illustrated the value of course reserve services as a way to help students with college affordability and to support instruction and learning.

This study investigated a framework for implementing SNS for knowledge sharing in Tanzania's higher learning institutions (HLIs). The study deployed mixed-methods research, where a convergent research design was used. This enabled the researcher to collect quantitative and qualitative data in a similar research phase, but they were analysed differently. A convergent research design enabled the researcher to compare the findings obtained from quantitative data with those from qualitative data to ensure rigour. The study evaluates the quality of services received by the Central Library of Birjand University among users based on LibQual components. The present study is descriptive. Data were collected using the LibQual questionnaire, and its reliability is obtained using Cronbach's alpha test. The statistical population included all users of the Central Library of Birjand University which 150 users were selected by non-proportional stratified sampling. However, post-colonial scholarship exposes the material violence and exclusionary practices that coincide(d) with commons-making in Europe and North America. The Bard High School Early College Queens (BHSEC Q) serves high school students who are simultaneously earning college associates degrees. The library works in partnership with a student affinity group called the Abled-Disabled Alliance (ADA). During the 2021-22 school year, the ADA has recommended a library renovation and a disability studies course, among other initiatives. The librarian taught “Disability and Equity in the Library,” to 13 students, many of whom identified as neurodiverse or disabled, and invited them to reflect on their learning needs. Strauss Library at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus was part of the regional group of repositories called Mountain Scholar using DSpace when the lead for Mountain Scholar, Colorado State University (CSU), announced that they could no longer afford to support the Mountain Scholar instance. All the libraries currently part of Mountain Scholar had to decide whether to migrate to ContentDM with CSU or strike out on their own. Strauss Library considered our options, and with University of Colorado Boulder using Samvera, decided to pursue migrating to Samvera. The Center for Nursing History of Northeastern Pennsylvania (CNH) at Misericordia University documents the history of nursing and the many nursing schools in the Keystone State's Wyoming Valley. In 2015, the Center received a grant to digitize and host its photograph collection to establish a stable digital environment for this regionally significant collection. This presentation will share some challenges, successes, and lessons learned during the migration of over 500 digital objects from ArtStor Public Collections to the Library's institutional repository on Digital Commons.

In June 2021, UMass Chan’s Lamar Soutter Library decided to migrate eScholarship@UMassChan from the bepress Digital Commons platform to two separate hosted platforms. This presentation examines the process of building a conference collection on Digital Commons with a discussion on stakeholder collaboration, collection architecture, and promotion, and reciprocal benefit to both scholars and repository managers.

Conference collections enhance attendees' experiences by creating a live archive of conference materials, viewable both during and after the event. Collections provide meaningful metrics for interactions with conference materials, which exist as grey literature that may otherwise go unseen by wider audiences. In 2017 the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library partnered with The George Washington University School of Nursing to create a permanent digital archive for their Doctor of Nursing Practice project collection in our instance of Digital Commons. DNP projects are a unique type of content because they provide important research about nursing practices, but often go unpublished elsewhere. The GW DNP collection now contains over 120 items that have been downloaded over 95,000 times and therefore we were eager to explore additional avenues for disseminating this content beyond our IR and its subsequent indexing platforms. The Health Sciences and Human Services Library at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) offers a poster printing service to faculty, students and staff. The printing service is multifaceted. Researchers fill out a submission form to request a large-scale printout of their PDF poster to share at a conference.
