Focuses on the final phase of the 4-year Council on Library and Information Resources grant project Step Right Up: Digitizing Over 100 Years of Circus Route Books. The digital humanities exhibit, Agency through Otherness: Portraits of Performers in Circus Route Books 1875-1925, features essays, images, interactive timelines, and map data visualizations of circus routes with Native Lands, historical railroads, and population data. The study examines the project’s planning and data methodologies alongside the integration of technology tools and digital storytelling with complex histories to elevate underrepresented voices and exemplify the diverse historical record.

The military community is an underserved population in many public libraries. Historically, military bases have had a dedicated military library on base, but in some cases budget cuts have led to their closure. The closure of military libraries provides an opportunity for public libraries to fill the gap and provide support to the military community. The Best of the Best Booklist celebrates stories from across the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) diaspora. All APALA members were invited to nominate picture book titles about AANHPI communities and experiences that were published in the 2022 calendar year. Members of the APALA Family Literacy Focus Committee evaluated the nominations against the APALA Rubric and curated the final list. Eligible titles that earned a 2023 APALA Literature Award or Honoree designation were automatically added to the Best of the Best Booklist.

Exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in drinking water is widely recognized as a public health concern. Decision-makers who are responsible for managing PFAS drinking water risks lack the tools to acquire the information they need. In response to this need, we provide a detailed description of a Kentucky dataset that allows decision-makers to visualize potential hot-spot areas and evaluate drinking water systems that may be susceptible to PFAS contamination. The researcher deeply examined the four target libraries and described comparative analysis in different tables with various parameters. All target libraries provide similar types of user needs. Still, collaboration must be found within the target libraries, which is the researcher's main problem. Finally, the researcher prepared and proposed a centralized consortium model that can be very effective for the target libraries and may solve the problems.

The McGovern Historical Center recently digitized and shared online more than 50 archival films, videos, and sound recordings, on the History of the Texas Medical Center.

The following programs: “The Texas Medical Center” (1972), “Visions” (1985), “Visions Fulfilled” (1990) and “The Power of a Dream” (1998) touted the advances in communications technologies in use throughout the TMC. Several newly digitized programs showed how audio, video, and network technologies have long been a part of the work of the TMC Library.

This study investigated the provision of reference services and use of library information resources by undergraduates in universities in Bayelsa state, Nigeria. The study used a correlational survey research methodology, and the instrument for gathering data was a questionnaire. 17451 undergraduate students from the four universities in Bayelsa State made up the study's population, with a sample size of 349 representing 20% of the total population. 349 copies of the questionnaire were distributed and 346 were retrieved and found usable. Archivists use best practices, like More Product Less Process, and professional standards, like Describing Archives: A Content Standard, to create descriptions of archival collections that promote collection use and discoverability. However, most existing usability literature assessing online finding aids looks at navigability and ease of use, but does not examine increase in traffic and discoverability of those finding aids. University of Colorado Boulder Archives improved online finding aid descriptions on ArchivesSpace during 2020. Google Analytics data from 2020 and 2021 show an increase in users and sessions on ArchivesSpace. It also indicates that most users arrive to the site from …

The study investigated health information provision and utilization as predictors of safe health practices of nursing mothers in Imo State. Four research purposes and four research questions guided the study. The researcher adopted descriptive design. The population of the study is 9735 nursing mothers in Okigwe Senatorial Zone, Imo State. Using proportionate sampling, 94 nursing mothers were selected from each of the six local government areas in Okigwe Zone, totaling 564.
