The main objective of this study was to assess availability, purpose and frequency of, as well as constraints and strategies to improve use of school library resources by students of secondary schools in Isokan. Research Methodology: The study employed a descriptive survey research design. The population consisted of 55 medical library in-charges, irrespective of their administrative set-up (public and private). A self-administrated questionnaire comprising five-point Likert scale was prepared. Which was pilot-tested and revised. This study explored 141 Korean immigrant parents’ use of local libraries to enhance their families’ social and cultural capital and adjust to the host country. We searched resources in Korean, and multicultural programs planned for the public and immigrants, Asian immigrants in particular, at two libraries before and during COVID-19. Parents reported dissatisfaction with library services because of language barriers (38%) and the lack of Korean resources (38%) and cultural programs (25%). Except for 18 books and 24 e-resources, no library resources in Korean were published after 2008. Before COVID-19, one multicultural program was offered for children. At Branches B …

Minimally, a research data repository exists to make a collection of data assets available to potential users. If a dataset cannot be discovered and found, it cannot be reused (Garnett et al. 2017). Harvestable metadata catalogues are a key strategy for achieving greater global findability of data assets, as they create a surveyable access point to discover data products within large data collections. The study investigated industrial training and academic achievement of library and information science students at the Delta State University Abraka. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design using questionnaire as instrument for data collection. The population of the study consists of 223 undergraduates and Masters Students who just concluded their industrial training six months ago. A total of 223 questionnaires were distributed only 174 were retrieved. Journal articles are often made available prior to assignment to an issue, using labels like “early view,” “advanced online publication,” “ahead of print,” “online first,” or “in press.” While making articles available before an issue can speed up the scholarly communications cycle, a negative effect can be observed when full text is delivered through aggregator databases like EBSCO, ProQuest, or Gale products. This study assessed issue assignment delays across 18 journals which have full text aggregated in EBSCO's CINAHL Ultimate. In this chapter, I will reflect on the challenges of naming my trans* identity in library spaces and facilitating discussions on gender identity as a genderqueer person. I examine the why, when and how I share my gender identity alongside my racial identity. My library instruction is influenced by my work as an intergroup dialogue facilitator and mediator. Intergroup dialogue pedagogy invites both the facilitators and participants to examine the ways in which their social identity development impacts how they see themselves and others. Critical library instruction draws from Freirean pedagogy in which students engage in dialogic learning. As such, librarians who strive to bring critical pedagogy into libraries must build their capacity to facilitate dialogue. Drawing from both intergroup dialogue pedagogy and multi-partial mediation, this chapter will outline tools for facilitating dialogue in library instruction. Intergroup dialogue is a scaffolded four stage model in which participants build community norms and communication skills, engage with social identity, apply communication skills to conversations about power, and strategize next steps for building solidarity. The purpose of this practical case study is to examine the development of Dataverse, a global research data management consortium. This paper is the second in a project focusing on data discoverability and current metadata implementation on the Dataverse portals established by 27 university libraries worldwide. Five research questions were proposed to identify the most popular metadata standards and elements, search interface options, and result display formats by those portals. [Method/process]For the task of legal case matching, this paper proposes a Legal Text Matching model based on RoFormer （LTMR）. This article introduces the CLEAR Framework for Prompt Engineering, designed to optimize interactions with AI language models like ChatGPT. The framework encompasses five core principles—Concise, Logical, Explicit, Adaptive, and Reflective—that facilitate more effective AI-generated content evaluation and creation. Additionally, the article discusses technical aspects of prompts, such as tokens, temperature, and top-p settings. By integrating the CLEAR Framework into information literacy instruction, academic librarians can empower students with critical thinking skills for the ChatGPT era and adapt to the rapidly evolving AI landscape in higher education.
