Libraries in Nigeria and other developing countries have constantly decried low patronage of library services due to several reasons. Wellspring University library is not an exception but the story seem to have changed as the library started experiencing increased patronage when the library was rebuilt after the old library building was engulfed in fire. Our lighting talk will share data from an analysis of 10 years of Gold open access publications at our university, a rising R2 public University in New Jersey. Our talk will show the increase in Gold Open Access publishing in the sciences of 176% over the ten years and the impact the library Open Access Publishing Fund has had in STEM. In addition, we will share STEM disciplinary differences in publication rates in Gold Open Access. In January 2021, the US passed the National Artificial Intelligence Initiative Act of 2020. The goal is a cohesive federal AI initiative, and part of that is safety, ethics, and transparency. The act includes funding appropriations for 2021-2025, and roll out takes place over that time. In implementing this law, there is recent and ongoing activity to regulate AI in the US. Regular calls for public participation go out to the public on www.federalregister.gov in the form of open ended questions on which input is requested, and feedback on reports or action plans.

Study evaluated the usage and user satisfaction of electronic resources specially the subscribed electronic information resources among the professional staff members of the Faculty of Education, University of Colombo. All professional staff members of (31) the Faculty of Education, university of Colombo were the study population. The survey research design was conducted by sending Google forms. Total number of 31 questionnaires were circulated and 28 were resumed at the rate of 90%. Data was analysed by using descriptive statistics of frequency percentage and findings were presented in Tables and Charts.
