Introduced by Microsoft in February 2023, Bing Chat is a feature of the Bing search engine that integrates an OpenAI large language model (LLM) customised for search (Mehdi, 2023a). This poster compares the outputs of Bing Chat and a standard existing search engine (DuckDuckGo) in response to identical keyword queries and corresponding natural language (NL) questions. Specifically, we examined: (1) the length of Bing Chat’s responses and DuckDuckGo’s first page of search results, by number of website links; and, (2) the length of Bing Chat’s textual summaries, by number of website links. This paper presents an overview of coverage of OpenAI’s ChatGPT in media outlets from November 2022-March 2023, a comparison to previous media coverage of the chatbot Tay across the same outlets, and a count of ChatGPT media articles pertaining to government legislation and regulation. The New York Times, Wired, Gizmodo, The Globe and Mail, and The Guardian were searched for coverage. Across all five outlets there is an uptick in media coverage surrounding ChatGPT, with total numbers of included articles per month being 0 in November, 39 in December, 68 in January, 104 in February, and 143 in March. Navigating confusing peer-review structures in publishing can be daunting for librarians at all stages of their career. In this paper, the authors will differentiate peer-review models and reflect on their experiences with these formats in the context of the [redacted] special issue of [redacted]. Additional discussion will include the hidden curriculum of publishing; areas for growth in peer-review related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; and peer-review as an individual and collective form of professional development that shapes how we engage with scholarship in LIS.

The goal of this study is to learn how postgraduate students in Nigeria's university libraries perceive and use serial resources. The study used a descriptive survey as its method. 295 postgraduate library and information science students from four South-East regional institutions two state universities and two federal universities make up the research population. The study explored the stages of pregnancy at which pregnant women seek information from various sources and the challenges pregnant women encounter in seeking information. A Mixed-method approach was used to carry out the study. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 148 pregnant women from three hospitals namely, Tamale Teaching Hospital, Tamale West Hospital, and the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital, Interviews were conducted with three midwives, one from each hospital, and a Gynecologist at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Skills of Professional Staff Working in University Libraries in Rayalaseems, Andhra Pradesh: A Study was conducted. In the Andhra Pradesh region of Rayalaseema, there are approximately 11 universities, including State and Deemed institutions. The study area of universities employs 60 library personnel. Data were gathered using the census sampling approach and a structured questionnaire. In addition, the researcher made personal visits and used the study's observation method to evaluate the criteria and selection of the sample universities, as well as the status and ICT proficiency of library professional staff employed in university libraries.
