Creating A Town Library Team: Collaborative Projects Between Public, School, And Academic Librarians, Maureen Rust

Library Scholarship

Library outreach, especially at the public and academic levels, is not a new concept. In the current climate of library budget cuts, instantaneous information, and readily available nonauthoritative sources, librarians, library staff, and library directors are making it a priority to educate their communities on the benefits of and accessibility to quality library resources. Collaboration between different types of libraries is also not uncommon. Partnerships between public and school libraries assist in coordinating information literacy curricula, promoting reading programs and providing access to materials and resources. This article encourages pushing those boundaries even further out to include academic libraries, thereby …

Reliquaires Pervertis. Inscriptions Du Deuil Chez Maupassant, Mirbeau Et Rodenbach, Elizabeth Emery

Department of World Languages and Cultures Faculty Scholarship and Creative Works

Effect Of Early Exposure To Technology On Student Satisfaction With Online Education, Mohamed Boudalia

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

Researchers have found that student satisfaction often leads to higher student retention, yet more research was needed to understand reasons for student satisfaction with online education. The purpose of this nonexperimental study was to examine the relationship between students' early exposure to technology (i.e., before college) and their satisfaction with online education in college. The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology were the theoretical framework. A convenience sample of 103 participants from the population of online students at colleges and universities in …

Not A Challenge But An Opportunity: Harnessing The Acrl Framework To Situate Graduate Students As Active Members Of The Academic Community, Wendy C. Doucette

ETSU Faculty Works

There is NO more traditional library function for instruction librarians than teaching information literacy. Without sacrificing expected librarian services such as demonstrating searching and citation management, the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Framework for Information Literacy in Higher Education allows us to orient students with a high-level, integrated view of how the seemingly disparate pieces and requirements of graduate research form an integrated whole.
