The paper points out that China's national intelligence work system must change to adapt to the new requirement of the concept of "big data", therefore, big data thinking is the idea upheld by national intelligence work system reform, specifically: security thinking is the logical starting point of the national intelligence work system reform, cultural thinking is the basic conception of the national intelligence work system reform, technical thinking is the essence of the national intelligence work system reform, development thinking is the direction and destination of the national intelligence work system reform.

A Comparative Study Of Sino-Us Lis Master's Specialties And Curricula —— Analysis Based On Lis Colleges And Universities Of Ala Authorized And Chinese "985" And "211", Xiao-Ping Sheng, Hong-Xia Su

By use of methods of network investigation and comparative analysis, this paper investigates the basic situation of LIS master's specialties and its research directions and curriculum settings by 50 colleges and universities authorized by ALA and 36 Chinese "985" and "211" colleges and universities, and discusses their similarities and differences among two countries' specialty settings, research directions and curriculum settings. Some suggestions on how to improve the LIS master's specialty and curriculum settings in our country are put forward by reference of American LIS master's specialty and curriculum settings.

In the age of intelligent trip, Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) is dedicated to solving the traffic demand in the future, and constructs the harmonious ecological relationship between human being, vehicle and environment. This paper used SWOT-PEST model to carry on the systematic analysis to the industrial competitive situation of Geely Group ICV, summed up the factors that affect the development of the ICV industry, and drew the future of ICV in China. At last, it put forward some suggestions on the development of ICV in China from three aspects, which including: government, society and company.

Montclair State University was invited in August 2018 to participate in a New Jersey (USA) State initiative, ResearchwithNJ, to promote the research at our institution. ResearchwithNJ was launched with the aim to increase innovation exchange, establish greater collaboration between academia and industry, aid universities in managing their research enterprise, and help to market New Jersey as a center of innovation. Around Her Table is a born-digital dissertation dedicated to collecting, preserving, and validating the Azorean-American woman’s immigrant experience and cultural identity through the transformative power of participatory archives. The site address is www.aroundhertable.org. The digital exhibit features the oral histories and artifacts related to the domestic sphere of six Azorean-American families, with particular emphasis on artifacts related to the kitchen, hand-worked textiles, and religious practices. Open Access is not just the distribution of journal articles and scholarly information that’s free of barriers. It’s an issue of income inequality, paywalls, supplemental course material, and research impact beyond the university. Open Access has not been thoroughly discussed throughout all members of the university. This project takes a look at the conversations going on at the university levels through the perspectives of students, teaching faculty, and library faculty. In the Fall of 2018, Grand Valley State University (GVSU) joined twelve other institutions to participate in an Ithaka S+R study to understand the pedagogical support needs of business school faculty. Each participating institution served as a research site with a local team of researchers. This report will outline the methodology, findings, and recommendations for instructional faculty, librarians, and administrators.

The present study will investigate the perceptions of information professionals about their role in the work of digital humanities scholars, as well as the perceptions of digital humanities scholars on the role of information professionals in their research. While other scholarly literature has considered collaborations between these groups via surveys or interviews with small project teams, the present study will provide a large-scale analysis of collaborations using survey responses from more than 500 scholars, librarians, and archivists. This book chapter addresses the importance of copyright training and education and aims to provide case studies and scenarios that demonstrate effective opportunities for engaging librarians in various library departments in issues of copyright. In particular, the chapter will explore the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) unique intersection between subject librarians and scholarly communication, as well as the Office of Scholarly Communication’s efforts to provide internal copyright training to librarians across the institution.

Light analyzes "responsible custody," one of eleven core values of archivists as described by the Society of American Archivists. After reviewing professional literature about postcustodial debates in the electronic records environment, advocacy for cultural sensitivity in native or colonial archives, and new models for stewardship associated with the community archives movement, Light proposes to revise this core value as "responsible stewardship."

Labor in academic libraries has reemerged as an area of critical interest in both academic library and archives communities. Librarians and archivists have long worked to counter the diminishment of their labor within an academy that centers the concerns of disciplinary faculty who may, in turn, see knowledge workers as a footnote to the scholarly enterprise. As a form of social justice education, intergroup dialogue (IGD) was originally developed in the 1980s at the University of Michigan as a critical-dialogical method and has since been implemented at many universities around the United States in curricular and co-curricular programs. IGD can function as a way of bringing students from different social identity groups together in sustained, facilitated learning experiences in order to advance social justice, equity, and peace.
