The act of the Technical Universities (TU) in Ghana mandates publications which promote invention and innovations. The study examined the role of librarians in the generation and management of technical research data to promote invention, innovation and commercialisation.

Purpose- This study aimed to identify and analyze the bibliometric characteristics of the classic papers in the field of critical care.

Design/methodology/approach- In this bibliometric overview, Google Scholar, Scopus and Web of Science were used for data collection. Study sample consisted of the classic papers in the field of critical care, introduced in Google scholar. SPSS were used for data analyses.

This study aimed at assessing the difference between perceived and actual IL skills of scientists [research students]. In this descriptive correlational study, two scales were developed using ACRL standards for IL of science and engineering/ technology. A self-reporting scale for the evaluation of perceived IL skills and an MCQs-based tool for testing actual IL skills was administered concurrently among research students (M.Sc. MS/ M.Phil./ Ph.D.) of science disciplines of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and University of the Punjab (PU) Lahore.
