[Purpose/significance] Addressing the challenges posed by the complex semantic characteristics of intangible cultural heritage brocade imagery, the difficulty in extracting their profound connotations, and the inadequate utilisation of multi-scale features by traditional deep learning models, this paper aims to explore a method for analysing the characteristics of intangible cultural heritage brocade images that integrates multi-scale visual features. [Method/process] This paper constructs a multi-scale feature analysis framework for intangible cultural heritage brocade images (ICH_BC), integrating convolutional neural networks with Transformer architectures. [Purpose/significance] "Open Competition Mechanism for Selecting Best Candidates" is a new research management model proposed by China to break through key core technologies, which is of great significance for addressing "bottleneck" technical problems.[Methods/process] Based on information asymmetry theory, complexity science theory, and adaptive governance theory, this paper adopts theoretical interpretation, case study, and comparative analysis. [Purpose/significance] To overcome the limitations of traditional, label-dependent evaluation indicators in identifying journal acceptance preferences, this article aims to construct a novel label-free quantitative detection paradigm to more comprehensively and objectively reveal potential publishing stickiness between authors and journals. [Method/process] By introducing disproportionality measurement methods from the field of pharmacovigilance, we proposed the Author-Journal Balance Ratio index, applied it to 86 law journals to measure the potential publishing stickiness between authors and journals, and analyzed the 5 060 identified potential publishing stickiness signals. [Result/conclusion] The results show that the Author-Journal Balance Ratio index is effective at identifying relationships driven by …

A marketing class assigns student groups to crisis management cases involving companies where something went wrong. How did those companies respond to the crisis? How did they communicate with stakeholders? Where were mistakes made? While quarterly financial statements can show the financial impact of a crisis, earnings calls offer something different: insight into how companies explain, frame, and respond to those events in real time. Sustainability Amid Sanctions: Adapting Business Librarian Services To Provide Equitable Services To Incarcerated Students, Ryan E. Yoakum

As of 2025, there are over 1.8 million people incarcerated in the United States, but only 6% hold an associate degree or higher. Yet research shows that earning even an associate’s degree can reduce recidivism by 85%. Given the higher rate of incarcerated individuals in Southern states, higher education in prison has the power to transform lives. These programs, however, must work around restrictions set by a state’s department of corrections, which can often lead to disparities between their experience and those of students on campus. These restrictions impact research and other programs supported by academic librarians.

This was the keynote presentation at the 2026 Midwest Business Librarian Summit. The talk introduced the Partners for AI Literacy (PAL) program, which fosters partnership between instructors and students for a more collaborative, holistic response to AI in learning environments. The slides walk through the pedagogical rationale behind the program, overviews the model and conceptual framework guiding PAL, and highlights insights from past PAL cohorts. It concludes with suggestions for several ways pedagogical partnership might be applied in varying library contexts.

All APALA members were invited to nominate picture book titles about AANHPI communities and experiences that were published between September 1, 2024–August 31, 2025. The Family Literacy Focus Committee selected books aligned with the Talk Story mission and used the APALA Rubric for Evaluating Asian American and Pacific Islander Youth Literature to guide the curation of the list. This paper explores using architectural drawings as primary sources in instruction sessions at the North Carolina State University Libraries’ Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) with a critical pedagogy approach. Architectural collections are among the SCRC’s most frequently used materials, yet effective engagement with these unique resources requires specialized knowledge that is often lacking among teaching librarians and faculty, who excel in artifactual literacy and archival practices. The research addresses this gap by arguing that additional guidance in architectural history and technical details is necessary to improve teaching methods and enhance student interpretation of architectural drawings. This study worked at the intersection of research competencies, technological skills and job satisfaction among librarians in universities in Delta State, Nigeria. The population of the study was the entire 81 librarians in universities in the state. A total population sampling was adopted. Data collected using a structured questionnaire was analysed using mean and standard deviation.
