The Everyday Life Of Autism: Living With Behavioral Differences, Deesta Jan Shaffer

Rehabilitation, Human Resources and Communication Disorders Undergraduate Honors Theses

The purpose of this study is to examine how family members, who have a child with autism, perceive problematic behaviors in relation to everyday activities. Parents, who have a child diagnosed with autism, were sought through social media for participation in this study. The material required for this project consisted of a parent survey created on SurveyMonkey. The link was shared online so that families who would like to participate could access the survey. Analysis will include a comparison of the themes and concerns expressed by the parents in their responses.

An Evaluation Of The International Volunteer Programme At Hope Community Resources In Alaska, Aisling Sugrue

Theses

A review of the literature identified a theme of ambiguity regarding the phenomenon of volunteerism, regarding the definition, academic perspectives and volunteer’s motives. The review also identified the Volunteer Process Model (VPM, Omoto and Snyder, 1995) and the researcher utilised this model when designing the mixed methods questionnaire to evaluate the motivations, satisfaction and attitudes towards disability of Hope’s international volunteers, both current (n=13) and previous (n=85), and also the impact the volunteer programme has on the volunteer’s careers. This article discusses about the implementation of children educational support in reducing prevelance of street children by ISCO Foundation. Motivated by many poor children vulnerable to be street cause the difficulty of access to educational services. This research used a qualitative approach. Collecting data using observation and interview with 9 informant. The study results show that implementation of program has already ran fairly well characterized by reduced child beneficieris who took the streets due to provision of assistance in formal and non-formal education. This article discusses about child welfare issues in a community related to mothers’ behavior child welfare issues of a community related to children of age 6-24 months with insufficient nutrition condition. The study discusses about individualized outcome evaluation of young entrepreneur program evaluation at ministry of cooperatives and small medium enterprises for five beneficiaries from Jakarta City in 2012.
