Background: Acute coronary syndrome patients presenting with Cardiogenic shock carry a very high mortality risk >70% without appropriate intervention in a timely fashion. Here we present a patient requiring an axial pump mechanical circulatory support despite having an apical thrombus. Case report: 55-year-old male with past medical history of type 2 diabetes mellitus and medication noncompliance was transferred from outside facility for high risk ACS with EKG showing ST segment elevation in inferior and anterolateral leads. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic multi-system inflammatory disease of which is characterized by articular and extra-articular involvement. Patients with RA have a higher risk of mortality when compared with the general population, which is due predominantly to increased cardiovascular disease. Due to the higher incidence of CVD and MI in RA patients it has been postulated that enhanced systemic inflammation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of CVD in RA patients. Objective: This study aimed to compare surgical margin analysis on final pathology in robotic assisted approach hysterectomy vs. all other approaches in early-stage cervical cancer.

Methods: Patients with clinical early-stage disease who underwent total and radical hysterectomy from the years 2018-2023 were categorized into robotic assisted approach group (RAH) vs all other approaches including laparoscopic hysterectomy (LAH), laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH), and open hysterectomy (TAH). Fisher’s exact test was used for analysis of the primary outcome measure.

Introduction: Endovascular therapy (EVT) in the form of mechanical thrombectomy is the mainstay of treatment for acute large vessel occlusion (LVO) ischemic stroke, but its efficacy is highly time sensitive. It is crucial that stroke centers continue to implement process improvements that aim to streamline stroke workflow. Viz.AI is a platform that uses artificial intelligence to automatically detect LVOs with computed tomography (CT) imaging. It provides immediate access to the CT images as well as a platform for centralized communication through the mobile application. Introduction: Providing pathology results and appropriate recommendations after resection of colon polyps is mandatory. Large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and Google Bard, have shown promise in clinical workflows such as pathology results letters. We tested whether LLMs could provide appropriate surveillance recommendations based on current guidelines from the US multi-society task force for post-colonoscopy follow-up. Methods: Our aim was to compare the accuracy of ChatGPT 3.5, ChatGPT 4, and Google Bard in providing appropriate interval surveillance recommendations. An example prompt being “Write a patient pathology result letter after a colonoscopy with one tubular adenoma polyp (< 10mm) resected. Include recommendations for when the next surveillance colonoscopy should be completed.” Seventeen different post polypectomy surveillance queries and responses were analyzed (correct, partially correct, incorrect) compared to USMSTF guidelines. Intestinal tuberculosis (ITB) is an underrecognized disease that shares many clinical, radiologic, endoscopic, and pathologic features with Crohn's disease, making differentiation difficult. This poses a significant problem as initiation of immunosuppressives for an assumed diagnosis of CD in a patient with ITB can lead to exacerbation of infection and life-threatening consequences. A 30-year-old Nepali man with a medical history only significant for Raynaud disease presented with a febrile illness, right lower quadrant abdominal pain, and productive cough over the course of a month. BACKGROUND: While menstruation is a physiologic process, it remains highly stigmatized. Despite the sheer number of menstruators, menstruation is a highly individualized experience, with wide variation in duration, symptoms, and management. This wide variability lends itself to large disparities in access to menstruation management products and subsequently the lived experience of menstruators.

OBJECTIVES: The research team sought to understand lived menstrual experiences, symptoms, management tactics, and commonly used and desired resources among 20 cisgendered women aged 18-45 years in Philadelphia.

Breast cancer has the highest incidence rate of all cancers globally in women, and those of African descent, especially West African females, face higher rates of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), a more aggressive form of breast cancer. Immunotherapy for breast cancer is a relatively new treatment option, and research is ongoing to identify the best combination treatments for increasing survival of those diagnosed with TNBC. This thesis aims to use community knowledge to inform clinical street treatment of Hepatitis C and to unpack the intersections of social systems within the realms of Street Medicine and healthcare for the unsheltered unhoused population. During the summer of 2023, 15 qualitative interviews were conducted with patients of the USC Keck School of Medicine Department of Street Medicine who received treatment for Hepatitis C infections. Using grounded theory analysis, participant responses were analyzed to identify key concepts and ideas from interview transcripts. Objective: To delineate the trend of use of botulinum toxin, including onabotulinum toxinA (OTA), in active military personnel and veterans with the diagnoses of migraine and post-traumatic headache (PTH) and describe the efficacy of botulinum toxin administration.

BACKGROUND: Recurrent glioblastoma (rGBM) has limited treatment options. This phase 1 protocol was designed to study the safety and preliminary efficacy of TPI 287, a central nervous system penetrant microtubule stabilizer, in combination with bevacizumab (BEV) for the treatment of rGBM.

METHODS: GBM patients with up to 2 prior relapses without prior exposure to anti-angiogenic therapy were eligible. A standard 3 + 3 design was utilized to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of TPI 287. Cohorts received TPI 287 at 140-220 mg/m
