This article explores the benefits of transitioning from traditional agricultural irrigation systems to more cost-effective alternatives powered by renewable energy sources. By integrating solar photovoltaic technology into irrigation processes, significant reductions in resource wastage, estimated at 45-50%, are achievable through the implementation of drip irrigation techniques. This results in enhanced agricultural productivity. Moreover, the utilization of solar panels in green zones mitigates surface temperature increases, contributing to a 2-5% boost in electricity production. Currently, irrigation facilities primarily rely on the main energy grid. However, transitioning to renewable energy sources decreases reliance on non-renewable fuels, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and fosters …

Modelling Of Heat Transfer In An Air Solar Collector, Shakhnoza Abduvaxitovna Sultanova, Jasur Esirgapovich Safarov, A.A. Mambetsheripova
Technical science and innovation
This study is the prediction, depending on time and different geographical and climatic situations, of different operating parameters: solar radiation, ambient and outlet coolant temperature, heat exchange coefficients and losses. All these determine, in the absence of measurements, the efficiency of the system modelled with existing models with respect to these parameters. These models are usually compared with experimental results. Before modelling, it is necessary to investigate the different heat transfer and exchange regimes that exist between the different elements of this system in order to eventually have a system of equations governing this exchange. The modelling principle is to …

Estimating Direction Of Arrival For Multi-Arm Spiral Antennas Using Machine Learning, Samuel Pearson
Honors Theses
Military systems require monitoring a wide frequency range of the RF spectrum to detect and monitor enemy targets. A vital component of that is calculating the direction of arrival of enemy radars. The use of compressive sensing architectures like the Nyquist Folding Receiver (NyFR) allow for computationally cheap capturing of wideband signals; however, these techniques make traditional direction of arrival (DOA) estimation techniques difficult. Given the advantages of compressive sensing, this research aims to apply machine learning (ML) techniques to multi-arm spiral antennas to estimate the incoming DOA. Software like MATLAB was used to simulate the multi-arm spiral antenna and …

Among this suite was one science-grade three-axis fluxgate magnetometer (Billingsley TFM65VQS / TFM100G2) and up …
State Omniscience For Cooperative Local Catalog Maintenance Of Close Proximity Satellite Systems, Chris Hays
State Omniscience For Cooperative Local Catalog Maintenance Of Close Proximity Satellite Systems, Chris Hays
Doctoral Dissertations and Master's Theses
Resiliency in multi-agent system navigation is reliant on the inherent ability of the system to withstand, overcome, or recover from adverse conditions and disturbances. In large part, resiliency is achieved through reducing the impact of critical failure points to the success and/or performance of the system. In this view, decentralized multi-agent architectures have become an attractive solution for multi-agent navigation, but decentralized architectures place the burden of information acquisition directly on the agents themselves. In fact, the design of distributed estimators has been a growing interest to enable complex multi-sensor/multi-agent tasks. In such scenarios, it is important that each local …

Wireless Power Transfer Using Cavity With Height Discontinuities, Linsheng Zhang
Electrical Engineering Theses and Dissertations
A novel device for efficient wireless power transfer (WPT) system is presented. The proposed WPT system utilizes modified microstrip antennas with height discontinuities (MAHDs) to achieve power transfer. Similar to the conventional WPT system using inductive devices, the power transmission relies on the magnetic field coupling in the near field region. However, the researcher can treat the isolated transmitter or receiver as a modified microstrip antenna, which resembles a capacitive device. Like a capacitive antenna, we can utilize the cavity model, which significantly simplifies field analysis, design and impedance matching process, reduces the overall space requirement, and potentially increases the …
