Larry Schug is retired from a life of various kinds of physical labor, including 34 years as Groundskeeper and Recycling coordinator at the College of St. Benedict. He currently volunteers as a tutor in the CSB/SJU Writing Centers and in various ways at Outdoor U. at St. John's. He's published eight books of poems, the most recent being A Blanket of Raven Feathers with North Star Press.

The first week of the semester, our editing staff sat down and tried to come up with a theme for this journal that would encapsulate the Concordia community, with all its beauty, flaws, and in-betweens.
To us, Planet Nowhere means the feeling of hopelessness and the intimidation of the unknown. But it also means endless possibilities and the beauty of the expanse before us. No matter how lost we may be, we can find our way home.

Sonder is an exploration of the relationship between digital media and graphic design through the creation of print and digital publications. At it’s very foundation, Sonder is a travel magazine with both a physical print publication and a digital publication designed for a tablet. It includes photography, articles, poetry, and travel tips. The print and the digital versions contain the same content, but explore different methods of presentation.

The massively multiplayer online role playing game, World of Warcraft follows many leveling systems that spoon-feeds its players a steady and carefully calculated sense of progression, control, and power. This is part of what makes the game so appealing, as well as the intricate character creation and vast community-based elements. Millions of players share this world of Warcraft, as if it were its own real world (and in a way it is), and they do so with characters they’ve created and customized.
