Masjid Pathok Negoro Dongkelan is one of the kagungan dalem mosques belonging to the Yogyakarta Sultanate, constructed as part of the spiritual and administrative structure of the Kraton’s territory. This study examines the architectural form and distinctive characteristics of Masjid Pathok Negoro Dongkelan using a comparative method with other Pathok Negoro mosques as well as the Great Mosque of Kauman (Masjid Gedhe Kauman). The findings indicate that Masjid Dongkelan possesses unique architectural features, including a fully enclosed veranda, a covered pulpit with a curved roof adorned with ornaments symbolizing the Sultanate, and two pawestren (women’s prayer spaces) that are not …

Historic interiors are unique repositories of memory, yet conventional reuse practices often fail to grasp their cultural complexity, prioritising formal interventions over lived experience. Dominant strategy-based frameworks for reuse struggle to capture the incremental, user-led adaptations that define these lived interiors. This paper addresses these limitations through a case study of the community-led revival of Harat al-Aqr, Oman. Methodologically, it reframes Alexander et al.'s (1977) pattern language as an interpretive lens for analysing the incremental evolution and embedded cultural intelligence of lived interiors. Hong Kong's dense urban environment, constrained housing, and relentless tempo of everyday life create a context in which solitude is both scarce and valued. This article develops the concept of solitary interiority to capture how moments of solitude in public space generate interiority as a relational condition through the interplay of bodies, atmospheres, and cultural norms. Drawing on ethnographic interviews and multisensory experiential reflection, the article demonstrates how solitary interiority arises from the blurring of boundaries between the domestic and the urban, the self and others, and the private and the public. This study investigates the Shishinden, the principal ceremonial hall of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, as a site where spatial hierarchy, ritual movement, and material atmosphere converge to construct a unique form of interiority. Rather than treating the hall merely as a stylistic or historical artifact, the paper analyses how interior experience is actively produced through embodied ritual practices, symbolic spatial organisation, and sensory orchestration. This document-based case study explains how land-use change along the Catawba River Corridor (Lancaster and York Counties, South Carolina) has been produced through the interaction of property rights (dominium) and rule-setting authority (imperium), showing why sovereignty continues to shape development even after land disputes appear “settled.” Through analyzing legal records (Treaty of Nation Ford, the 1959 Catawba Division of Assets Act, the 1986 Supreme Court timing decision, and the 1993 Settlement Act), planning documents, parcel records, and field observations, we trace how shifting jurisdiction and title certainty structured what kinds of land uses were possible and when. This study investigates the effectiveness of Meta-Heuristic (MHT) optimization techniques in improving fraud detection (FD) through feature selection (FS) and model optimization. To address class imbalance, Random Under-Sampling (RUS) was applied. This study investigates the physicochemical and mechanical performance of cementitious composites incorporating fluidized bed combustion (FBC) ash under accelerated carbon dioxide (CO₂) curing. FBC ash, due to its high contents of free calcium oxide (CaO) and sulfate (SO₃), has been reported to cause challenges, such as volume instability and lower early-age strength. To address these limitations, CO2 curing was applied to promote accelerated carbonation and stabilize the hydration products. Energy consumption is increasing every day due to the proliferation of smart homes and smart household appliances, which deplete existing energy resources. Therefore, efficient energy management by accurately predicting energy consumption is critical. In this paper, a hybrid prediction model is proposed to forecast energy consumption in smart homes using weather data. The proposed system follows five steps: data acquisition, data preprocessing, feature selection, prediction, and hyperparameter optimization. In the data acquisition step, all attributes except the weather attributes are removed. The adiabatic potential energy curves for the lowest singlet and triplet electronic states in the representations 2S+1Λ+/- and Ω(+/-) (with and without spin-orbit coupling) of the molecule AlI have been computed by using the complete active space self-consistent field (CASSCF) with multireference configuration interaction (MRCI+Q) method. The spectroscopic constants ωe, Re, Be, and Te have been calculated. Using the canonical quantum mechanics approach, the rovibrational constants Ev, Bv, Dv, Rmin, and Rmax were calculated for the low-lying electronic states with and without spin-orbit coupling. A comparison between our calculated values and those available in the literature reveals excellent agreement.

Natural fibre composites offer a sustainable alternative to conventional composite materials. Their mechanical efficiency is influenced by laminate structure and skin material selection. This study presents a comparative finite element analysis and optimisation of coir fibre-reinforced laminates employing either aluminium skins or carbon cloth skins. COMSOL Multiphysics was used to determine their mechanical response. Optimisation was performed using the BOBYQA algorithm to enhance load sharing between the coir core and skin materials. Results indicated that aluminium-skinned laminates achieve superior compressive and flexural performance, achieving a peak compressive strength of 210 MPa and sustaining a flexural load of 0.65 kN at …
