Accurately diagnosing thyroid disease remains a challenge in medicine, necessitating the use of reliable computational techniques for early detection and categorization. Using a dataset of 3164 patient records, this study applies machine learning algorithms to create a computer-aided thyroid disease diagnosis system. The data set includes demographic information, clinical indicators, and thyroid function test results. To improve model performance, the study focuses on preprocessing approaches such as data cleaning, normalization, and feature selection. The use of feature engineering techniques to determine the most predictive characteristics associated with thyroid problems is highlighted. This research investigates advanced strategies to enhance the seismic performance and global stability of slender steel frames by integrating cable-supported and braced systems. To address these challenges, the study develops finite element (FE) models of multi-story slender frames in SAP2000, incorporating both cable-supported configurations and diagonal bracing systems. Nonlinear time-history analyses are performed using selected earthquake ground motions to evaluate structural response, inter-story drift, and mode shape behavior. Results highlight the efficiency of cablesupported frames in controlling lateral displacements and redistributing forces, while also emphasizing the role of bracing in providing additional stiffness. Alkali-activated materials have emerged as promising low-carbon alternatives to ordinary Portland cement-based binders; however, their practical application is strictly limited by rapid setting and poor workability. To address these challenges, this study proposes an evaluation methodology combining setting time measurement, cloud point tests for chemical stability, and wide-range rheological analysis. While conventional superplasticizers like polycarboxylate ether (PCE) proved unstable in high-alkaline environments, cloud point tests revealed that polynaphthalene sulfonate (PNS) and butyl acrylate (BA) exhibited superior chemical stability. This research explores the effectiveness of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in tackling the residential urban development challenges facing Cairo today. In the past two decades, PPPs have emerged as a dominant mode of housing production, positioned as collaborative ventures between state agencies and private developers. They have become integral to the expansion of Greater Cairo, producing vast new urban extensions under the promise of mobilizing private capital, technical expertise, and delivery capacity. Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) enables the open exchange of Building Information Models, yet effective validation of real-world IFC deliveries remains challenging. Project models frequently contain incomplete, inconsistent, or incorrectly exported metadata, and explicit IFC relationships are often missing or degraded during conversion from proprietary formats. Many validation questions are inherently spatial, including connectivity, containment, proximity, and clashes, and therefore cannot be answered reliably from properties alone. As a result, federated model validation is often slow, fragmented across tools, and dependent on specialized IFC expertise.

This study presents an optimized design and operation strategy for a stand-alone solar photovoltaic power system to drive a 4.5 kW elevator at Mansoura University Hospital, Egypt. The research aims to reduce the battery bank capacity and overall system cost while maximizing the utilization of solar panels. A novel "Optimum Operator System" is proposed, incorporating three power switches controlled by an Arduino microcontroller. The system's performance is analyzed through extensive modeling, simulation, and experimental validation. Results show a significant reduction in battery bank capacity, with 7 fewer 100 Ah batteries required compared to conventional systems. The proposed method significantly enhances …

This study examines the effects of suction chamber baffle configurations on both hydraulic efficiency and cavitation characteristics in a low specific speed centrifugal pump. Four baffle configurations (zero, one, two, and three baffles) were tested at three different heights using refined computational fluid dynamics simulations. The Zwart-Gerber-Belamri cavitation model was enhanced by adjusting nucleation site radius and evaporation coefficient values to better align with previous research findings. Results revealed that the optimal baffle height is approximately one-third of the impeller suction eye radius, significantly improving cavitation resistance. Conventional foam concrete suffers from low strength and heterogeneous pore structure due to its porous structure and incomplete hydration, limiting its structural applications. This study investigates the use of magnetized water (MW) as a mixing medium to enhance hydration efficiency and improve both fresh and hardened properties of foam concrete. Three density grades 620, 1300, and 1900 kg/m³, designated as Groups A, B, and C were prepared and tested. Hong Kong's dense urban environment, constrained housing, and relentless tempo of everyday life create a context in which solitude is both scarce and valued. This article develops the concept of solitary interiority to capture how moments of solitude in public space generate interiority as a relational condition through the interplay of bodies, atmospheres, and cultural norms. Drawing on ethnographic interviews and multisensory experiential reflection, the article demonstrates how solitary interiority arises from the blurring of boundaries between the domestic and the urban, the self and others, and the private and the public. While previous research has addressed flexible housing in general, few studies have focused specifically on how Generation Y modifies space within condominium units to accommodate their needs in the Bangkok context. Historic interiors are unique repositories of memory, yet conventional reuse practices often fail to grasp their cultural complexity, prioritising formal interventions over lived experience. Dominant strategy-based frameworks for reuse struggle to capture the incremental, user-led adaptations that define these lived interiors. This paper addresses these limitations through a case study of the community-led revival of Harat al-Aqr, Oman. Methodologically, it reframes Alexander et al.'s (1977) pattern language as an interpretive lens for analysing the incremental evolution and embedded cultural intelligence of lived interiors. However, significant work has not been done in evaluating the effect of prison interiors on autistic inmates who may be hypersensitive, especially to light and sound. The purpose of this study was to determine how autistic inmates cope in a noisy, crowded environment that is not designed for them and that they cannot control. This study investigates the Shishinden, the principal ceremonial hall of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, as a site where spatial hierarchy, ritual movement, and material atmosphere converge to construct a unique form of interiority. Rather than treating the hall merely as a stylistic or historical artifact, the paper analyses how interior experience is actively produced through embodied ritual practices, symbolic spatial organisation, and sensory orchestration. Masjid Pathok Negoro Dongkelan is one of the kagungan dalem mosques belonging to the Yogyakarta Sultanate, constructed as part of the spiritual and administrative structure of the Kraton’s territory. This study examines the architectural form and distinctive characteristics of Masjid Pathok Negoro Dongkelan using a comparative method with other Pathok Negoro mosques as well as the Great Mosque of Kauman (Masjid Gedhe Kauman). The findings indicate that Masjid Dongkelan possesses unique architectural features, including a fully enclosed veranda, a covered pulpit with a curved roof adorned with ornaments symbolizing the Sultanate, and two pawestren (women’s prayer spaces) that are not …
