Vasectomy and tubal ligation are reliable, safe, effective and permanent methods of birth control. The objective of this study is to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding vasectomy and tubal ligation among the general Lebanese population. Descriptive crosssectional survey approach was adopted for the present study. Stratified sampling was used according to the percentage of the Lebanese population living in each governorate, in the months of September 2017 to March 2018. The present research sought to explore the differences between developed and underdeveloped countries on the Love of Life Scale (LLS). Nine samples (N =3,799) took part in the study. They were university students from Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, Algeria, Malaysia, India, Iran, and USA. Sex-related differences in LLS were significant only in Kuwait (in favor of males) and India (in favor of females). The samples of Malaysia and U.S.A. obtained the highest mean LLS score, followed by participants from Qatar, India, and Kuwait, (males), and India, Iran, Qatar, and Algeria (females), respectively. To investigate the effects of Nintendo Wii Fit balance board on young adults’ balance. This experimental randomized trial included 98 participants. The participants were randomly divided into two groups, the control (54) and experimental group (44). The control group received no intervention, and was used to give reliable data to be compared with the data from the experimental group. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders in preclinical and clinical dental students in Beirut Arab University (BAU) clinics.190 students were recruited from the Faculty of Dentistry at BAU: 95 preclinical and 95clinical dentistry students, and asked to fill the Ergonomic Awareness Questionnaire (EAQ). Then the students were blindly assessed by a physical therapist using Rapid Entire Body Assessment Scale (REBA) scale.Results indicated that 90% of the preclinical and clinical students are at medium to high risk of developing musculoskeletal problems. This study examines the effect of the fossil fuels consumption and the renewable energy to the economic growth in Lebanon using multiple linear regression using time series fixed effect model method over the period 1990–2012. The results showed that the fossil energy consumption has a positive impact on the economic growth while the renewable energy consumption with negative coefficient. Metformin is one of the most widely prescribed oral ant diabetic drugs, it is generally used for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. The organic caution transporter 1(OCT1), encoded by the SLC22A1 gene is responsible for the uptake of metformin in the hepatocytes. Polymorphisms in SLC22A1 gene contribute to variable responses to metformin leading to inter-individual variations in its clinical efficacy. The infiltration of immuno-inflammatory cells is one of the earliest and durable steps that lead to atherosclerosis. These cells produce many immune components that act as a double-edged sword in this inflammatory disease. Among these components, we note antimicrobial peptides, including defenses. The purpose of this research was to evaluate a kaolin clay obtained from local Lebanese source after being subjected to thermal treatment. A sample of kaolin clay was collected from local resources and subjected to a treatment process for enhancing its pozzolanic properties. The treated sample was characterized through testing procedure as per ASTM C311. It was found that the physical and chemical properties were in compliance with the relevant ASTM C618 standard.
