A Proposed Guide For Playground Planning, Wayne Delbert Jensen Aug 1963

A Proposed Guide For Playground Planning, Wayne Delbert Jensen

Graduate Student Research Papers

The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of playground planning in the over-all school plan. One of the chief aims of the study was to demonstrate the need for larger school sites through the presentation of actual space requirements of various play areas needed in an adequate physical education and recreation program. The writer thought that a suitable explanation of the playground plan had to include a discussion of the importance of the playground to the entire community.

A State Park Resort For New Mexico, Manuel A. Fernandez

Architecture and Planning ETDs

The purpose of this study is to investigate the demand for a greater state park recreational development program in New Mexico, to emphasize its social and economic values, and to understand the main functions of a state park resort. These findings will be incorporated into the design of a state park resort located at one of the existing state parks. The design will include a lodge, boat dock, several cabins, general store, a cafe, and housing for the custodian. There will be no design for camping and picnicking other than an allocation of land for that purpose
