Readership Count And Its Association With Citation: A Case Study Of Mendeley Reference Manager Software, S Ravikumar, Dohtdong Basbunlang Ms

The present study was carried out to find out the association between Mendeley readership count and citation pattern for scholarly articles. This study was carried out with the most prolific authors of 2014 from the four subject domain “Clinical medicine, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Neuroscience” and around 4886 papers was identified and studied their Mendeley readership count and citation count. It was found that the articles of the most prolific authors in the above subject have a strong positive correlation between Mendeley readership count and citation; ρ value is .715**. Self-Citations In Iaslic Bulletin, Gurjeet Kaur Kaur

The basic purpose of this study is to investigate the self-citations appearing in IASLIC Bulletin during 2005-2017. It was found that more than 30% of the articles carry self-citations. The rate of self-citations is 5.81% only. The per-cent of author self-citations, author/journal self-citations and journal self-citations was 53.89%, 2.59% and 43.52% respectively. There were 36 authors who had self-cited only once. The highest self-citing author was P Mukhopadhyay with 10 self-citations followed by A K Bandhopadhyay and B Roy with 8 self-citations each, all from University of Burdwan, West Bengal. The article highlights how librarians and faculty can collaborate to prepare pre-service teaching students to select culturally appropriate juvenile books. Results show how the students’ misconceptions or poor knowledge about multiculturalism impact their decision in the selection of material. Changes in the content and delivery of information demonstrate how to improve the knowledge and application of cultural literacy skills by the students. This case study approaches the importance of the connection between textual and visual content in juvenile books, and how a collaborative approach between a faculty member and an academic librarian can improve the acquisition of lifelong learning skills.

The Study Of The Relationship Between Perceived Richness Of Information Resources At Academic Library And Attitude Towards Using Them, Mohammad Reza Farhadpoor

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between perceived richness of information resources at academic library and the attitude to use them by students' of Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz; and conducted by an analytical survey method. Using stratified random sampling 380 students were selected and data were collected using researcher made questionnaire. Results showed that the students have no tendency (mean=3.2281) to use the information resources of library. Meanwhile, the library information resources in terms of update (mean=3.2281), accessibility (mean=3.1702), quality (mean=3.1342), transparency (mean=3.1325) and quick feedback ability (mean=3.1325) are above average and in a relatively favorable level; but, …
