The model for interacting with computing devices remains primarily focused on visual design. However, sound has a unique set of advantages. In this work, an experiment was devised where participants were tasked with identifying elements in an audio-only computing environment. The interaction relied on mouse movement and button presses for navigation. Experiment trials consisted of variations in sound duration, volume, and distinctness according to both experiment progress and user behavior. Participant interactions with the system were tracked to examine the usability of the interface. However, unlike most industries, the retail industry has yet to fully explore blockchain’s capabilities, for the industry’s priority is in improving its practices first. One of its practices in the works is omni-channels, which face struggles of its own, that oftentimes result from supply chain inefficiencies. In this research, we will analyze EEG signals to obtain neural correlate classifications of user experience by applying predictive analytics. Boredom, flow, and anxiety are three states experienced by users interacting with a computer-based system. A within-subjects experiment was used to collect EEG data for these three states and a baseline. We will apply predictive analytics including linear regression, support vector machine, and neural networks to analyze and classify the EEG data for these three states of user experience.

Scientific workflows for high-performance computing (HPC) are becoming increasingly complex. Developing a way to simplify these workflows could save many hours for both HPC users and developers, potentially eliminating any time spent managing software dependencies and experiment set-up. To accomplish this, we propose using two programs together: Docker and Spack. Docker is a container platform and Spack is a package manager designed specifically for HPC. In this paper, we show how Docker and Spack can be used to containerize the extreme-scale Scientific Software Development Kit (xSDK). Every day, intrusion detection systems catalogue millions of unsupervised data entries. This represents a “big data” problem for research sponsors within the Department of Defense. In a first response to this issue, raw data capture was transformed into usable vectors and an array of multivariate techniques implemented to detect potential outliers. This research expands and refines these techniques by implementing a Chi-Square Q-Q plot-based classification criteria for outlier detection. Networks are rarely subjected to hypothesis tests for difference, but when they are inferred from datasets of independent observations statistical testing is feasible. To demonstrate, a healthcare provider network is tested for significant change after an intervention using Medicaid claims data. First, the network is inferred for each time period with (1) partial least squares (PLS) regression and (2) reconstructability analysis (RA). Second, network distance (i.e., change between time periods) is measured as the mean absolute difference in (1) coefficient matrices for PLS and (2) calculated probability distributions for RA. This poster presents topological properties of N-bit ripple-carry adders and the effects of their topology, specifically their genus, on the speed of current flow. An adder is a very simple computer that takes input numbers (0 and 1) from logic gates and then adds them together. To create a ripple-carry adder, we take N number of adder circuits and arrange them in parallel. We differentiate between two kinds of adder circuits: half adders and full adders. This paper provides a novel approach to aid analysis by intercepting and capturing malware artifacts and providing dynamic control of process flow. This paper presents a use-case based evaluation of the impact of two-level modeling on the automatic federation of ocean observational data. The goal of the work is to increase the interoperability and data quality of aggregated ocean observations to support convenient discovery and consumption by applications. Those jobs are scheduled on different cores and compete for shared resources such as the last level cache and memory bandwidth. Such competitions might cause performance degradation. Data centers often utilize virtualization to provide a certain level of performance isolation.
