Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Three-dimensional (3D) segmentation of maize ear is the fundamental research of 3D ear phenotype. A method of 3D segmentation for maize ear was proposed in this paper. Firstly, 3D point cloud of maize ear was acquired by using SmartScan 3D scanner. Then the point cloud was simplified by point cloud resampling to improve the efficiency of subsequent algorithm. And a contraction transformation was employed to increase the distance of neighboring grains in Euclidean space by estimating the normal of each point through k-neighbor algorithm. Finally, the point cloud of maize ear was segmented by Euclidean clustering. Results showed that …

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Defenses approach against DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) attacks is currently an important hot issues. We propose a new efficient defenses approach which adopts a detection system based on metadata analysis to identify the packages of DDoS attacks. The flow control rules are formed based on the summarized experience data. ACL (Access Control List) is applied through inline devices (firewalls and load balancers) or divider to limit rate, clean flow or drop package. 10Gbps bandwidth HTTP requests, which contain malicious DDoS attacks packages, can be detected and cleaned completely in line-rate speed. We especially summarize th traffic characteristics …

Two Image Watermarkingmethodsbased On Compressive Sensing, Yidi Miao, Lü Ju, Xiumei Li

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: As an emerging sample theory, compressive sensing attracts wide attention because it breaks through the Nyquist sampling theorem. , Two different methods of watermark embedding and extraction are presented by measuring the carrier image and watermark image respectively based on compressive sensing. Moreover, the attack tests, such as the Gaussian noise, pepper and salt noise, filtering, compression, and cropping, are implemented to watermarked images. Experiment results show that although the two different methods for image watermarking have different processing procedure, both can guarantee the robustness and security of embedded digital watermark.

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: A multiple model predictive control strategy based on offline linear model is proposed for controlling the ORC-based WHRSs (waste heat recovery systems). The proposed control strategy is described for a wide operation region of the ORC system. A switching mechanism considering both instant output errors of each model and error accumulation is applied for the switch of local controllers in different operation regimes. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively regulate the evaporating pressure and the superheating temperature for the ORC-based WHRS throughout a wide operation region.

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Potted monocot plants are one of the most indispensable plants for landscaping and environment. This paper establishes 3D geometric model of branches, twigs, branches and leaves of potted monocot plants with adjustable morphology parameters based on iterated function system.
