Purpose: To evaluate the overall adaptation and retention of class I cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) removable partial denture (RPD) frameworks using three different computeraided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) technologies: Indirect wax milling with lost wax technique (LWT), direct milling, and selective laser melting (SLM) technique. Addressing a critical challenge in current tissue-engineering practices, this study aims to enhance vascularization in 3D porous scaffolds by incorporating bioceramics laden with pro-angiogenic ions. Specifically, freeze-dried gelatin-based scaffolds were infused with sol-gel-derived powders of Cu-doped akermanite (Ca₂MgSi2O₇) and bredigite (Ca₇MgSi₄O₁₆) at various concentrations (10, 20, and 30 wt%). The scaffolds were initially characterized for their structural integrity, biodegradability, swelling behavior, impact on physiological pH, and cytocompatibility with human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). This study aims to examine differences in trueness and precision between surgical guides with (S) and without sleeves (SL). A secondary aim was to assess the impact of the sleeve-to-bone distance.

Mandible replicas (n = 120) were printed from an STL file obtained from a clinical CBCT. Aim: Burning mouth syndrome (BMS) is a debilitating chronic burning sensation in the oral cavity with no identifiable cause. The present research was conducted to evaluate the prevalence profile of BMS in a sample of the Egyptian population. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed by screening 952 subjects, all individuals with burning mouth complaints were interviewed and examined to identify the site, timing, frequency, and intensity of their burning sensations. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different finishing and polishing systems (one-step, two-step, and multi-step) and the application of a diamond polishing paste on color stability, surface roughness, and surface morphology of a CAD/CAM composite block. A total of seventy-seven blocks from eight composite CAD/CAM blocks were used in this study. They were divided into three main groups (22 each) according to the different finishing and polishing systems used one-step, two-step, or multi-step systems. Background: Limited treatment options exist for damaged nerves and despite impressive advances in tissue engineering, scientists and clinicians have yet to fully replicate nerve development and recruitment. Innervation is a critical feature for normal organ function. While most organs are innervated prior to birth, a rare example of postnatal nerve recruitment occurs in the natural development of secondary teeth during adolescence. Many animals undergo postnatal shedding of deciduous teeth with development and eruption of secondary teeth, a process requiring recruitment of nerve and vasculature to each tooth pulp for viability. Carcinoid tumors are rare neuroendocrine neoplasms with varied clinical presentations. We report a case of a 70-year-old female patient who presented with history of loose stools, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Imaging revealed a small hyper-enhancing nodule in the small bowel, multiple liver lesions, and a mesenteric mass, all suggestive of metastatic carcinoid disease. Biopsy confirmed a neuroendocrine tumor. As these tumors can remain indolent for years, early detection and treatment are critical for effective management and better prognosis.

Disease risk prediction based on genomic sequence and transcriptional profile can improve disease screening and prevention. Despite identifying many disease-associated DNA variants, distinguishing deleterious non-coding DNA variations remains poor for most common diseases. In this study, we designed in vitro experiments to uncover the significance of occupancy and competitive binding between P53 and cMYC on common target genes. Analyzing publicly available ChIP-seq data for P53 and cMYC in embryonic stem cells showed that ~344-366 regions are co-occupied, and on average, two cis-overlapping motifs (CisOMs) per region were identified, suggesting that co-occupancy is evolutionarily conserved.
