Introduction: Sickle cell anemia, a hereditary disease, results from a mutation in the β-globin coding gene that makes up hemoglobin, leading to the deformation of erythrocytes. Numerous oral manifestations result from this disease; however, some may not be specific.

Rehabilitating the maxilla in the patient who has had surgical resection for mucormycosis poses a distinctive set of anatomical, surgical, and prosthetic challenges. The extensive maxillary bone loss after aggressive debridement often makes traditional implant-supported prosthetic options impossible. In these circumstances, zygomatic implants have proven to be a predictable, graftless solution, especially in patients with extremely atrophic maxillae. Where the bone loss is severe, the quad zygoma procedure—two implants for each zygomatic arch—is possible to support full arch rehabilitation with a fixed prosthesis. This study examines the interdisciplinary collaboration between dental and occupational therapy schools to support dental education on autism spectrum disorder (ASD). An occupational therapy student created a recorded training module to educate international dental students on ASD. The participants completed a self-reported pre- and post-survey questionnaire examining their confidence levels in interacting with the ASD population and their awareness of other healthcare professions. The survey results showed improvements in confidence levels for identifying characteristics of ASD, communicating with clients with ASD, identifying sensory-based strategies, navigating uncooperative behaviors, and providing education for at-home care. The objective of this study is to investigate and compare the effect of cannabidiol (CBD)-containing and non-CBD topical anesthetic gel prototypes on skin irritation in rabbits at 24, 48, and 72 h post-application. Topical anesthetic gel prototypes containing 0.1% CBD and without CBD were developed. Six rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) were used for skin irritation testing according to ISO 10993-23: 2021. This case concerns a 39-year-old female patient presenting with an asymptomatic radiolucency and spiking root resorption in the right posterior mandible (tooth #30). The patient delayed treatment for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and fear of surgery. Upon return, the lesion had greatly expanded in size (approximately 22-by-17 mm), with increased root resorption. Surgery involved extraction of the tooth and thorough curettage of the lesion. Microscopic examination showed cellular tumor composed of plump spindle cells and interspersed psammoma body calcifications.
