Objectives
Numerous studies have shown that the education of health professionals is essential to effectively respond to child abuse. The present study aimed to evaluate Turkish paediatric dentists' knowledge, experiences and attitudes regarding child physical abuse.
Materials and methods
An electronic questionnaire was e‐mailed to 518 paediatric dentists. Participants’ knowledge of diagnostic indicators of child physical abuse, and their past experiences, attitudes and self‐assessment of educational needs were evaluated.
Results
The response rate was 40.9% (n = 212). Participants who completed their undergraduate education before 1997 received significantly less education on child physical abuse than participants who completed their …

The objective of this study was to determine factors affecting survival of teeth after nonsurgical root canal therapy (NSRCT) among enrollees of Wisconsin Medicaid during the years 2001-2009. Only permanent teeth with NSRCTs and that had permanent restorations within 60 days after treatment completion were included in the analysis. Patients with less than 60 days of insurance coverage after treatment completion were excluded. Background: Despite being a common problem, long-term disability following stroke often improves after survivors receive regular rehabilitative therapy. This study aimed to assess the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) of stroke survivors who had access to a community-based rehabilitation centre after hospital discharge.
Methods: Dentate post-stroke patients receiving regular rehabilitative care with slight to moderate dependency (Barthel Index >70) and without severe cognitive impairment were involved in this study. The OHRQoL parameters were measured using the Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14) and EuroQol five dimensions (EQ-5D-5L) questionnaires.

Oral healthcare professionals play a vital role during these trials. Dental teams, often at the oncology's behest, conduct comprehensive exams and treatments before cancer therapy starts.
