The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a fundamental shift in the labor market, leading to unprecedented job losses. Between February and April 2020, approximately 22.2 million jobs were lost nationwide. Notably, dentistry was among the top ten industries impacted, accounting for 555,000 of those job losses. When positions were reopened, only 76% of all employees across all industries returned to work by August 2020.

As the COVID-19 pandemic dramatically disrupted workforce stability, particularly within dental practices, effective talent management emerged as a critical strategy for rebuilding and sustaining the dental workforce. Talent management is of increasing importance in today’s labor market, …

To evaluate bone quality and quantity after 3D augmentation of vertically and horizontally atrophied maxillary ridges and compare the use of bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) and xenograft versus autograft and xenograft, both using prebent titanium (Ti) mesh over a virtually augmented model. Objectives: To evaluate and compare the effectiveness of chlorhexidine (CHX) versus dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in preventing Streptococcus mutans adhesion at the resin-tooth bond interface. H0 states no significant difference in antimicrobial efficacy between CHX and DMSO.

Methods: Fifteen extracted molars were randomly assigned to three groups: 2% CHX, 5% DMSO, and saline (control). Surfaces were treated for 60 seconds, bonded with a two-step etch-and-rinse adhesive, and restored with composite resin. Samples were incubated with S. mutans in BHI broth at 37°C for 14 days with broth changes every 48 hours. Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) assessed microbial viability.

Objectives: Effective smear layer removal enhances sealer penetration in endodontics. Chelating agents vary in their efficacy, influencing treatment outcomes. In this study, the depth of penetration of AH Plus and Bio-C root canal sealers into dentinal structures was analysed using confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM), following the application of four final irrigants: 17% EDTA, 20% citric acid, 0.2% chitosan, and 5% fulvic acid.
