The prevalence and clinical characteristics of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) in the Mediterranean region of Türkiye have not yet been thoroughly investigated. Objective: This study aimed to determine the prevalence and severity of TMD in a sample of the population in this region and to characterize the clinical findings related to TMD. Methods: Four hundred and one participants were included in this study. “Presence of TMD” in the participants was evaluated using the Fonseca Anamnestic Index. OBJECTIVE: This paper aims to present and describe the Standardised Tool for the Assessment of Bruxism (STAB), an instrument that was developed to provide a multidimensional evaluation of bruxism status, comorbid conditions, aetiology and consequences. METHODS: The rationale for creating the tool and the road map that led to the selection of items included in the STAB has been discussed in previous publications. RESULTS: The tool consists of two axes, specifically dedicated to the evaluation of bruxism status and consequences (Axis A) and of bruxism risk and etiological factors and comorbid conditions (Axis B). In healthcare, more attention was focused on COVID-19 than other concerns. An unexpected consequence of the pandemic was a silent progression of an increased spread of multi-resistant pathogens. Extractions are generally discouraged in these patients due to the risk of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). This case study presents an 89-year-old female with metastatic breast cancer on Xgeva, facing a non-restorable tooth (#30). A collaborative approach involving the general dentist, endodontist, and oral surgeon employed endodontic therapy, crown amputation, and soft tissue advancement, avoiding extraction. The technique, akin to coronectomy, mitigates MRONJ risk by preserving bone integrity. Background: Dental caries are preventable. Dentists utilize many prevention strategies in the office and provide at-home education to families. However, once a child develops Early Childhood Caries (ECC), especially in more severe cases, they may need general anesthesia (GA) to complete treatment. While this is an effective way to achieve full mouth dental rehabilitation (FMDR), this burdens the healthcare systems and families and does not come without risk to the patient. Incorporating referral incentives in dentistry, like gift cards or raffles, can present ethical and legal issues. The MDA's ethical rule 4.E prohibits rebates or fee splitting, extending to any referral source, including patients. Gift cards may be perceived as rebates. Raffle tickets are less problematic, but only the winner gains something of value. State law (MCL 333.16221) deems fee division unethical. For insurance and dental plan agreements, check for clauses mandating specific fee schedules and discouraging referral fees to ensure compliance. Federal laws might also apply if incentives are used for Medicaid or Medicare patients.

Objective: This study reports on the number and percentage of community water systems (CWSs) meeting fluoride concentration standards set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The study also explored changes in the population exposed to optimally fluoridated water in these systems between 2006 and 2020. Methods: This study analyzed U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data from 2006 to 2020, tabulating state-specific CWS fluoridation rates, ranking them, and calculating the percent change. Results: In 2020, 72.7% of the US population received CWS water, with 62.9% of those individuals served by a CWS system meeting DHHS …
