Among the questions that drew attention were these. Are San Joaquin County's juvenile delinquents the sane as, or different than those found elsewhere? that happens to the youngster after the police refer him on into the corrections structure? What are the criteria by which decisions are made? Who makes the decisions? What services are offered? What facilities does San Joaquin County have in which to treat the juvenile? Many scholars and citizens agree that recent United States foreign policy has led the country into global involvement, but there is wide disagreement as to the implications of this. In this appraisal of the general concept of globalism the author hopes to show that, no matter how the United States got involved in global politics, it can in a way be justified on the basis of the national interest and that, although there is an urgent need for change in U.S. foreign policy, it cannot now be done on a unilateral basis.

The 1900 elections have been little touched in historical studies of Utah. However 1900 was a year of special interest and deserves an examination. In that year a Special Election was held, all state offices were up for renewal and a Presidential Election took place.

The special election was necessary because B. H. Roberts had been denied his seat in the United States Congress. Roberts was excluded because he was a polygamist. The Roberts case threatened to revive gentile versus Mormon antipathies in Utah. However, the most puzzling aspect of the 1900 elections is connected with the presidential vote. In …
