Pilot Testing For Feasibility Of Role Of Public Libraries In Citizenship Information, Vanita Khanchandani

This paper outlines the significance of the pilot study in determining the feasibility of the main study, i.e., the role of the public libraries in citizenship information, and entails pre-testing the measuring tool (questionnaire). In the pilot study, 25 items were assessed on 27 subjects, and internal reliability was determined using Cronbach’s Alpha. The Alpha was found to be 0.78, indicating acceptable consistency of the measuring tool. (questionnaire). The main goal of this study was to look into the information literacy (skills and standards) of English Language majors at Sargodha University. A total of 160 undergraduates, both men, and women, took part in the research. To get to their end goal, researchers had to fill out a questionnaire created by Mittermeyer and Quirion (2003). The results of this study showed that undergraduates at UOS don't know enough about how to use information. Because of this outcome, it was suggested that students from UOS take part in the research.

The study correlated the digital literacy skills of librarians in academic libraries in Taraba State, Nigeria and their services delivery. The correlational design was adopted in studying 112 librarians drawn from 11 academic libraries in Taraba State. A researcher-made questionnaire was used for data collection. 112 copies of the questionnaire were administered but 109 were retrieved. Data was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. This research article reports the findings of a survey that was conducted at two community colleges affiliated with a large public university system in the Northeast of the United States. A survey was to explore community college students’ citation management help- seeking habits. Findings suggest that respondents were more likely to utilize Purdue University’s Online Writing Lab (OWL) website for reference management help than other resources. The study sought to examine the influence of leadership styles and staff motivation on job satisfaction in private university libraries in Osun State, Nigeria. The descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings revealed that leadership styles and Staff motivation are predictors of job satisfaction of library staff. There was a high level of job satisfaction among library personnel due to the democratic leadership styles that were predominant.
