This study investigated newspaper representation of women in the news. A total of four newspapers were studied. They are Vanguard, The Punch, The Guardian and ThisDay. The duration for the study was three years (January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2017). The study was guided by three objectives and two hypotheses. Content analysis was used for the study with the code sheet as the instrument for data collection. This research examines social media and utilization of information on contagious diseases by medical students of Abia State University Teaching Hospital Aba. The research adopts survey design to investigate a sample of 321 medical students of ABSU Teaching Hospital who were registered undergraduates in the 2017/2018 academic session. Because the number of the students was adequate and manageable, the research adopted the census sampling technique. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to carry-out bibliometric analysis of publications by authors associated with Army Medical College, Pakistan using Scopus database.
Methodology: All publications, published from 1977 to 2018, by the authors affiliated with Army Medical College, Pakistan were retrieved from Scopus database. The bibliographic records of all retrieved publications were downloaded in the Microsoft Excel. The data regarding phase-wise growth of publications; citations; subject distribution; the most prolific authors and journals; and research collaboration within Pakistan and abroad were analyzed and presented in tabular form.

South Africa has not only been identified with high records of gender-based violence (GBV), but that, it takes a complex toll on young people than does transport accidents. Therefore, two methods: Pao’s Least Squared (LS) and Sen’s methods were used to determine the validity of GBV research output vis-a-vis Lotka’s law of scientific productivity over a ten-year window 2009-2018. Data on GBV scientific publications in South Africa was harvested from the EBSCO Discovery Service Database. This study examined how effective the ICT gadgets are used in securing books in academic libraries and what technological approach the libraries will adopt in the future to ensure books are secured from mutilation and theft. This article analyses the articles on Phytochemistry Literature with the tools of Altmetric. For this study, 10 articles on phytochemistry literature were taken for the analysis. This study also compares the Citations received by a publication against the Altmetric score. The study shows that the most of the Publications are shared by the social media Twitter. Moreover readers prefer to read the articles through Reference Manager Mendeley. The study discovers that there is a moderate correlation between Citation and Altmetric Score. The study investigated the determinants of quality performance of library staff of selected academic libraries in Ghana. The study aimed at establishing the core determinants of quality performance and its sustainability in academic libraries. The study chooses a quantitative approach where the questionnaires were used as instruments to collect data on information on determinants of quality performance of library staff in selected academic libraries in Ghana. An attempt is made for bringing out the growth of literature on human genetics. Web of Science database has been used to retrieve the data of five years (2014-2018) by searching a keyword “Human Genetics" in the combined topics, abstract and keywords fields. The scientometric tools and techniques such as document type, year wise distributions, language, and country wise distribution are used for measuring the outputs. This study assessed the research output on Bamboo for a period of 29 years (1989-2018). The web of science database has been used to retrieve worldwide publication records on bamboo research. The records were analysed using the descriptive statistics. Based on the retrieved data, various aspect of literature on bamboo research analysed and interpreted. The performance of the most productivity countries, authors, journals, Institution wise, and Growth rate and doubling time have assessed. The present study tries to focus on the various facets of authorship pattern in data science during 2001-2018. Annual growth rate of articles, authorship pattern, author productivity rate, degree of collaboration, author collaboration network visualization and finally the application of Lotka’s law are the major thrust of this research. The highest AGR 46.43% was noticed in the year 2016 followed by 39.53% in 2014 and 37.67% in 2015. The lowest AGR -20.75% was noticed in the year 2002.
