The present study investigates the effects of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) and human chorionic gonadotropin administration on the conception rate of cows 12 days after artificial insemination (AI). Included in the study were 150 high milkyielding Holstein cows housed under the same husbandry and feeding conditions. All had calved at least once between the ages of 2.5 and 6 years, and were between 90 and 220 days in milk. The growth performance and ultrasonic M. longissimus thoracis et lumborum (LTL) muscle traits of 2397 Eşme lambs raised in the Eşme district of Uşak province, an important lamb production area in Western Anatolia, were evaluated at 3 months (n = 1690) and 5 months (n = 707) of age. The average age of the lambs at the time of the first measurement (at weaning) was 100.15 days, and 152.37 days at the second. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of housing system (indoor vs. free-range) and gender on carcass and meat quality traits in Pekin ducks. The present study investigates the effects of the preslaughter fasting on pH and bacterial contamination in Akkaraman and Anatolian Merino sheep. Included in the study were 10 Akkaraman and 10 Anatolian Merino sheep (n = 20) that were fasted for 24 h prior to slaughter, and a further 10 Akkaraman and 10 Anatolian Merino sheep (n = 20) that continued to be fed until slaughter as a control group. Harmful algal blooms produced by the diatom Pseudo-nitzschia regularly expose marine mammals along the California coast to domoic acid (DA), a neurotoxin that bioaccumulates in marine food webs. In California sea lions (Zalophus californianus), domoic acid exposure is associated with seizures, hippocampal injury, and maternal-fetal transfer of the toxin that can result in abortion. Bloom events have led to large numbers of stranded sea lions along the California coast. Understanding population trends and habitat structure is important for informing forest management and conservation. This study compares historic and current Cerulean Warbler counts at selected upland sites within the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest and evaluates whether differences in canopy composition between abandoned historic sites and foraging sites currently used by Cerulean Warblers can explain site abandonment. To examine this relationship, I surveyed breeding birds in grasslands and savannahs of the Ozark Mountains, Arkansas River Valley, and Northwest Arkansas. A total of 61 samples from three subpopulations have been genotyped using PCR-RFLP. Allele and genotype frequencies have been calculated using PopGene. The Mx gene was amplified, producing a DNA fragment measuring 299 base pairs. Protein levels were determined using the microassay method. Kefir, which is known to have the best incubation time for producing the highest antibacterial activity when ultrafiltered with a 10 kDa cut-off membrane, was analyzed for its molecular weight using SDS-PAGE. Western Australia's (WA) sheep industry has undergone substantial structural transformation since the 1990s, with a 67% reduction in the flock, from 38.4 million in 1989-90 to 12.7 million in 2020-21. This transformation process followed the collapse of the Reserve Price Scheme for wool in 1991. This report examines the spatial and temporal changes in flock size, composition, and producer adaptation strategies from 2010-11 to 2020-21, drawing on Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) census data and Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) producer surveys data.
