In this paper, we consider the product of two independent Hypoexponential distributions which has many applications in sciences and engineering. We find analytically the probability density function, the cumulative distribution function, moment generating function, the reliability function and hazard function, which was proved to be a linear combination of the K distribution. Finally, we will apply our results application in stochastic PERT Network.

Influence Of Nano-Ag Addition On Phase Formation And Excess Conductivity Analysis Of (Cu0.5tl0.5)-1223 Superconducting Phase, Nayera Mohammed, Seham Mahmoud, Weleed Abdeen, Marwa Hasebbo

Ceramic superconducting samples of type (nano-Ag)xCu0.5Tl0.5Ba2Ca2Cu3O10-δ, 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 3.0 wt.%, were successfully synthesized via single step solid-state reaction technique at 850 ºC and under ambient pressure. The samples were characterized by XRD and SEM. Obtained data revealed that the highest grains connectivity volume fraction was detected for the sample with x = 0.15 wt.%. The electrical properties of the prepared samples was examined using the electrical resistivity measurements, and the results proved that the highest superconducting transition temperature Tc was observed at x = 0.15 wt.%. On July 23, 2019, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) expanded the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC)—the system that processes airspace approvals for sUAS operators in controlled airspace—to include recreational operations. Under LAANC, sUAS operators submit flight request information to one of 14 LAANC Service Suppliers via a mobile or online application. Flight request data is checked against UAS Facility Maps, NOTAMs, and Temporary Flight Restrictions to ensure compliance. Small UAS operators then receive a digital, automated authorization in near-real time. As of May 23, 2019, 591 airports across the United States are included in the LAANC system. Researchers …

In aircraft maintenance, leaders are under near-constant pressure to maintain airworthiness. Every minute an aircraft cannot fly due to maintenance represents financial waste. Decisions are therefore made in a relatively quick fashion. A leader evaluates the situation, identifies a course of action and then communicates this message to a team of technicians. However, gender influences regarding leaders’ decisions can influence team members’ perceptions of those decisions.

This paper examines practices that are used in STEM fields to attract women in order to understand how those tactics may to entice women to join the ranks of certified AMTs. According to the FAA, the estimated active mechanic certificates held as of December 31, 2018 was 292,002. Of those 292,002 it is estimated that 7,133 or 2.4% were held by women. In 2009, there were 329,027 active mechanics certificates held and 6,980 or 2.1% were held by women. Instances of spoofing and jamming of global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs) have emphasized the need for alternative navigation methods. Aerial navigation by magnetic map matching has been demonstrated as a viable GNSS‐alternative navigation technique. Flight test demonstrations have achieved accuracies of tens of meters over hour‐long flights, but these flights required accurate magnetic maps which are not always available. Magnetic map availability and resolution vary widely around the globe. Previous literature has identified gaps in competencies that employers noted in young graduates. Resilient performance is the ability of a system to make accommodations before, during, and after a disturbance to ensure continued system functioning. The article presents the results of microwave processing of gold-containing sulfidic carbonaceous flotation concentrate, with the aim to oxidize sulfide minerals and organic carbon, in which gold is associated. The flotation concentrate was processed in a microwave oven with an output power of 700 W, so that after every 2 minutes of treatment the magnetron was turned off, the sample was mixed, then turned on. The degree of removal of sulfide sulfur was 96%. Organic carbon is removed by 76.7%. The results of the study on the effect of antimony alloy anodic behavior AK12M2 alloy, in a neutral environment (at different concentrations - 0.03; 0.3 and 3.0% NaCl). It should be noted that in all cases, the corrosion potential of samples immersin into a solution after some time shifts in the positive direction and then stabilized. In this case, if the stabilization in undoped alloy corrosion potential is observed within 50 minutes, then in doped alloys it occurs twice as fast, within 25-30 minutes, indicating a relatively higher influence of antimony passivation additives.

Self-healing asphalt, aimed to produce a sustainable asphalt pavement using green technology, has been studied in the past two decades. Technologies including encapsulated rejuvenator and induction heating have been proposed, demonstrated in the laboratory, and gradually evaluated in field application. This paper looks into the synergy effect of the above two technologies, where induction heating serves as the asphalt damage repair mechanism, requiring just 2 min heating time and encapsulated rejuvenator will replenish (rejuvenate) aged asphalt binder and reinstate bitumen’s healing ability.
