The Research Of Various Transient Processes In Current Transformers, Sultan Fayzullayevich Amirov, Shavkat Mukhsimov, Otabek Tashmuhammatovich Boltayev
Journal of Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers
In the article the transients occurring in current transformers are investigated and the values of secondary transient currents are determined using the operator's method with the help of a mathematical model of a wide-range current transformer using various primary sources. Using the obtained results, the regularities of secondary currents change over time are analyzed. It determined that, in the developed the wide-range current transformer, the influence of the aperiodic component of the primary current on the transformer current decreases with increasing the angle and creating a counter magnetomotive force in the core to expand the upper limit of the conversion …

For inducing form memory effects of FMEs, at least one deformation of the alloy is required. Traditionally, it is carried out at room temperature or in liquid nitrogen. The influence of the initial phase composition on different schemes of FME and OEPF guidance has been studied. The evolution of reversible and complete reversible deformation, depending on the induced deformation, has an extreme character, while the position of the maximum depends on the structural state: for an equiatomic alloy Ti-50.0 at.% Ni - range εt = 1215%; for Ti-50.7 at.% Ni.

Application Of Fiber Optical Sensors For The Account Of Axes Of The Mobile Composition Of Automatic And Telemechanical Systems On Railway Transport, Aziz Azimovich Saitov
Journal of Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers
In this scientific work, modern optical sensors based on the use of modern electronic electromagnetic relay counters used on railways, stages and stations in the Republic of Uzbekistan are investigated and presented. The electromagnetic relay device ESSO increases the transmission of false messages under the influence of magnetic induc-tion. This leads to a decrease in the level of reliability. The study showed that the recommended axle counting sensors have high sensitivity when passing wheels on sensors on hauls and stations, which can increase reliability and reduce operating costs for train movements, trunk and station roads.

Mechanical Engineering Presentations And Conference Materials
Those graduate students known as returners, who have a gap of at least five years between their undergraduate degree conferral and their return to school for a graduate degree, have a wide variety of different experiences. While many of them spend those gap years in employment at an industrial employer, some of them serve in the military in various capacities. As military experience is different from working at an industrial employer, one might expect that these returners will be different in their outlook, skills, or approach to learning. In this study, the differences between military returners and returners from industry …

Geometric Optimization Of Plasmonic Nanostructure Arrays On Mwir Hgcdte (Mct), Nagendrababu Vanamala, Kevin C. Santiago, Naresh C. Das, Samuel Keith Hargrove
Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Faculty Research
Mercury Cadmium Telluride (MCT) is a primary absorber material used in most infrared (IR) detection technologies. Our previous studies show that the optical absorbance profile of MCT in the mid-infrared region can be enhanced by 13% under ambient conditions via integrating periodic Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) nanostructures. Here, we focus on the geometrical parameterization and optimization of ITO nanostructure arrays. We simulate several types of geometries, their corresponding effective absorption profiles, E-field distribution, and optimal geometric parameters. This work may lead to improved light collection and absorption edge engineering, as MCT continues to be the material of choice in IR …
Simulation Of Cu Precipitation In Fe-Cu Dilute Alloys With Cluster Mobility, Senlin Cui, Mahmood Mamivand, Dane Morgan
Simulation Of Cu Precipitation In Fe-Cu Dilute Alloys With Cluster Mobility, Senlin Cui, Mahmood Mamivand, Dane Morgan
Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering Faculty Publications and Presentations
Cu-rich precipitates formation is associated with the precipitation hardening of Fe-Cu based steels and the embrittlement of reactor pressure vessel steels under neutron irradiation. The accurate modeling of the time evolution of Cu-rich precipitates is therefore of fundamental importance for the design of Fe-Cu based steels and the prediction of the irradiation induced shift of the ductile to brittle transition temperature of reactor pressure vessels. This work applies cluster dynamics with mobile Cu monomers and clusters to model Cu precipitation in dilute Fe-Cu alloys at several temperatures. Optimized model parameters can be used to simulate the mean radius, number density, …
Brainwave Classification For Eeg-Based Neurofeedback, Brent Baculi, Stuart Cansdale
Brainwave Classification For Eeg-Based Neurofeedback, Brent Baculi, Stuart Cansdale
Bioengineering Senior Theses
The aim of this project was to find a way to differentiate active and rested brain signals in a patient using tasks without bodily movement to provide extremely motorly disabled patients a method of control for robotic devices that enable them to move independently of a caretaker. Although many control methods exist for less severely motorly impaired patients, this method would improve quality of life for all patients by allowing for movements to be controlled exclusively using the brain. The three steps for our project were to define the tasks and collect data, process the signals, and run the processed …

How To Train A-To-B And B-To-A Neural Networks So That The Resulting Transformations Are (Almost) Exact Inverses, Paravee Maneejuk, Torben Peters, Claus Brenner, Vladik Kreinovich
Departmental Technical Reports (CS)
In many practical situations, there exist several representations, each of which is convenient for some operations, and many data processing algorithms involve transforming back and forth between these representations. Many such transformations are computationally time-consuming when performed exactly. So, taking into account that input data is usually only 1-10% accurate anyway, it makes sense to replace time-consuming exact transformations with faster approximate ones. One of the natural ways to get a fast-computing approximation to a transformation is to train the corresponding neural network. The problem is that if we train A-to-B and B-to-A networks separately, the resulting approximate transformations are …

Abstract: In order to overcome the problems which are the model of the nonlinear restoring force and the nonlinear vibration control, the vibration control of the nonlinear rotor system and the processing the nonlinear restoring force were accomplished based on the electromagnetic actuator using the FUZZY-PID controller with the fitness function of the variable width and variable geometric shapes. Using the Jeffcott rotor model with the nonlinearities of the forces of the bearing and the electromagnetic actuator, the simulations of the vibration control on the rotor system were performed. Through comparing with the control methods of the traditional PID and …

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: The analytical calculation method for winding loss and core loss of high power medium frequency transformer was analyzed, and the optimal design process was established. A 300 kW medium frequency transformer for lightweight application of electric locomotive was designed optimally by the method of free parameters scanning. Through the establishment of evaluation parameters equation, the best scheme considered both the total loss and transformer weight. On this basis, the winding loss and core loss for six groups of design scheme were verified by finite element simulation in 2D eddy current field and transient field of Ansoft Maxwell respectively. Through …

Many smart apartments and renovated residential buildings have installed Smart Meters (SMs), which collect interval data to accelerate more efficient energy management in multi-family residential buildings. SMs are widely used for electricity, but many utility companies have been working on systems for natural gas and water monitoring to be included in SMs. In this study, we analyze heating energy use data obtained from SMs for short-term monitoring and annual predictions using change-point models for the coefficient checking method. It was found that 9-month periods were required to search the best short-term heating energy monitoring periods when non-weather-related and weather-related heating …
