ABOUT THE TEST REPORT AND USE OF THE DATA The test data contained in this report are a tabulation of the results of a series of tests. Due to the restricted format of these pages, only a limited amount of data and not all of the tractor specifications are included. The full OECD report contains usually about 30 pages of data and specifications. The test data were obtained for each tractor under similar conditions and therefore, provide a means of comparison of performance based on a limited set of reported data. EXPLANATION OF THE TEST PROCEDURES Purpose The purpose of …

Extension Of Darby's Model Of A Hydrophylic Gas Fed Porous Electrode, Ralph E. White, M. A. Nicholson, L. G. Kleine, J. Van Zee, R. Darby

Faculty Publications

A model presented previously by one of the authors (1,2) is reviewed and extended. Aspects of this model which were not previously available in the open literature are considered, and the model is extended to include previously neglected terms in the governing differential equations, fractional reaction orders in the current density-overpotential expression, and mass-transfer coefficients to account for mass-transfer resistance of the reactants to the faces of the porous electrode. The model is used to predict quantities of interest for oxygen reduction in an acidic aqueous solution in a porous carbon electrode.

Evaporite Diapirs In The La Popa Basin, Nuevo Leon, Mexico., Robert C. Laudon Jan 1984

Evaporite Diapirs In The La Popa Basin, Nuevo Leon, Mexico., Robert C. Laudon

Geosciences and Geological and Petroleum Engineering Faculty Research & Creative Works

Reconnaissance mapping and stratigraphic work in the La Popa basin of Neuvo Leon, northern Mexico, have revealed two large structural features with cores of gypsum and anhydrite at the surface. These features are interpreted to be the surface expression of evaporite diapirs. Geostatic loading is considered to be the most important mechanism for emplacement of the domes. -from Author

Non-Linear Oscillation, Automodulation And Anelasticity, Tetsuro Suzuki, Manfred Wuttig Jan 1984

Non-Linear Oscillation, Automodulation And Anelasticity, Tetsuro Suzuki, Manfred Wuttig

Physics Faculty Research & Creative Works

The auto modulation observed in the course of internal friction is discussed as a special example of the universal nature of non-linear oscillations. Universal features of non-linear oscillations are the requirement of energy supply or negative damping and the period doubling route to chaos. The negative damping responsible for the auto modulation is described in terms of the soliton model for twinning deformation. © 1984 The Japan Society of Applied Physics.

Handbook Of Traffic Control Practices For Low-Volume Roads In Indiana, Herpicc Jan 1984

Handbook Of Traffic Control Practices For Low-Volume Roads In Indiana, Herpicc

Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Publications

The purpose of the Handbook on Traffic Control Practices for Low Volume Roads in Indiana is to provide a guide to supplement the existing Manuals on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD ). Both the National and the Indiana MUTCDs provide general guidelines for the design, installation, and use of traffic control devices (signs, signals, and markings) on all roads and streets, but their main concern is with higher volume highways. Neither specifically addresses the operational and guidance problems associated with roads that carry fewer than 400 vehicles per day. This handbook's intent is to make these low volume roads safer …

An Experimental Circulatory Arrest Model In The Rat To Evaluate Calcium Antagonists In Cerebral Resuscitation, Lawrence De Garavilla, Charles F. Babbs, Willis A. Tacker Jan 1984

An Experimental Circulatory Arrest Model In The Rat To Evaluate Calcium Antagonists In Cerebral Resuscitation, Lawrence De Garavilla, Charles F. Babbs, Willis A. Tacker

Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering Faculty Publications

A circulatory arrest model in the rat was developed for use in cerebral and cardiac resuscitation studies. Whole-body ischemia was produced for 8 to 18 minutes by arresting the heart with a cold potassium chloride cardioplegic solution. Following cardiopulmonary resuscitation, minimal, standardized intensive care was provided. As the duration of ischemia was increased from 8 to 18 minutes, survival immediately following resuscitation decreased from 100% to 25%, and survival at 48 hours after ischemia decreased from 80% to 0%. Thirty per cent of the rats recovering from 11 minutes of ischemia suffered motor seizures. Survival and the incidence of motor …
