การวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อ 1) สังเคราะห์ตัวบ่งชี้การอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างเกื้อกูลในชุมชนเมือง 2) ศึกษาระดับความตระหนักรู้ในการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างเกื้อกูลในชุมชนเมือง 3) พัฒนากระบวนการการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อสร้างความตระหนักรู้ในการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างเกื้อกูลในชุมชนเมือง และ 4) นำเสนอแนวปฏิบัติในการสร้างความตระหนักรู้ในการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างเกื้อกูลในชุมชนด้วยกระบวนการการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียน เป็นการวิจัยผสมผสานทั้งเชิงปริมาณและเชิงคุณภาพ โดยในเชิงปริมาณ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ ผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนเมือง กรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 5,807 คน และผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนบ้านครัวเหนือ แขวงถนนเพชรบุรี เขตราชเทวี กรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 400 คน โดยใช้การสุ่มแบบบังเอิญ (Accidental sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คิอ แบบสอบถามและแบบวัดความตระหนักรู้ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงบรรยาย การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวน (Analysis of Variance) และการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยัน (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) ในเชิงคุณภาพการดำเนินการวิจัยแบ่งเป็น 1) การศึกษาเอกสาร 2) การสัมภาษณ์ผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก และ 3) การวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการแบบมีส่วนร่วม โดยใช้การตรวจสอบแบบสามเส้า (Triangulation) พื้นที่ชุมชนที่ศึกษา ได้แก่ ชุมชนบ้านครัวเหนือ แขวงถนนเพชรบุรี เขตราชเทวี กรุงเทพมหานคร วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content Analysis) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ตัวบ่งชี้การอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างเกื้อกูลในชุมชนเมืองประกอบด้วย 3 องค์ประกอบหลัก 8 องค์ประกอบย่อย และ 50 ตัวบ่งชี้ ดังนี้ องค์ประกอบหลักด้านกาย มี 3 องค์ประกอบย่อย 16 ตัวบ่งชี้ ได้แก่ การเสียสละ 6 ตัวบ่งชี้ การเคารพกติกาสังคม 5 ตัวบ่งชี้ และการยอมรับซึ่งกันและกัน 5 ตัวบ่งชี้ องค์ประกอบหลักด้านวาจา มี 2 องค์ประกอบย่อย 11 ตัวบ่งชี้ ได้แก่ การพูดถูกกาลเทศะ 5 ตัวบ่งชี้ และการพูดสร้างสรรค์ …

การวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการแบบมีส่วนร่วมนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนากระบวนการจัดการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนแบบมีส่วนร่วมโดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถด้านการจัดการความขัดแย้งเชิงสมานฉันท์ สำหรับเยาวชนในชุมชนแออัด และเพื่อนำเสนอข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายในการนำกระบวนการไปใช้ กลุ่มผู้มีส่วนร่วมในงานวิจัยนี้ คือ เยาวชนคู่ขัดแย้งและผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับความขัดแย้ง โดยมีพื้นที่ในการวิจัย คือ ชุมชนวัดโพธิ์เรียงและชุมชมวัดอัมพวา กรุงเทพมหานคร เครื่องมือในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์ ประเด็นการสนทนากลุ่ม แบบบันทึก และแบบสังเกต และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการพัฒนากระบวนการจัดการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนดังกล่าว อยู่บนความเชื่อในศักยภาพของเยาวชนในชุมชนแออัด ที่สามารถเรียนรู้ในการเปลี่ยนแปลงตนเองได้ ประกอบด้วย 4 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ 1) การวิพากษ์ตนเอง-เรียนรู้ผู้อื่น 2) การเรียนรู้ปัญหา-หาทางออก 3) การเรียนรู้การสร้างสัมพันธ์ใหม่ โดยร่วมมือร่วมใจ ลงมือปฏิบัติไปด้วยกัน และ 4) การเปิดใจตรวจสอบตนเอง ตรวจสอบความสัมพันธ์ และปรับปรุงวิธีการ สำหรับปัจจัยในการนำกระบวนการไปใช้ ได้แก่ ผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องให้การสนับสนุน ความพร้อมด้านสถานที่ วัสดุอุปกรณ์ และเวลา ส่วนเงื่อนไขที่ต้องคำนึงถึง ได้แก่ ความขัดแย้งต้องไม่ถึงขั้นรุนแรง และเยาวชนคู่ขัดแย้งต้องการเรียนรู้เพื่อเปลี่ยนแปลงตนเอง ข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายในการนำกระบวนการจัดการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนแบบมีส่วนร่วมโดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถด้านการจัดการความขัดแย้งเชิงสมานฉันท์ สำหรับเยาวชนในชุมชนแออัด ไปใช้ แบ่งเป็น 2 มิติ ได้แก่ มิติที่ 1 นโยบายสำหรับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง มี 2 ข้อ ได้แก่ 1) สร้างเสริมความรู้ความเข้าใจในกระบวนการจัดการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนแบบมีส่วนร่วมโดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถด้านการจัดการความขัดแย้งเชิงสมานฉันท์ สำหรับเยาวชนในชุมชนแออัด 2) สร้างเสริมความรู้ความเข้าใจในกระบวนการจัดการความขัดแย้งเชิงสมานฉันท์ มิติที่ 2 นโยบายสำหรับผู้ปฏิบัติงาน มี 3 ข้อ ได้แก่ 1) ดำเนินการค้นหาและสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจให้กับผู้ดำเนินกระบวนการที่อยู่ในชุมชนแออัด ที่จะเป็นผู้อำนวยความสะดวกและคนกลางในการดำเนินกระบวนการจัดการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนแบบมีส่วนร่วมโดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานเพื่อจัดการความขัดแย้งเชิงสมานฉันท์ 2) ผู้ปฏิบัติงานปรับทัศนคติและวิธีการดำเนินงานกับชุมชน คู่ขัดแย้ง และผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง 3) ผู้ปฏิบัติงานดำเนินการติดตามความสัมพันธ์ของคู่ขัดแย้งอย่างต่อเนื่อง

Through research, inquiry, and an evaluation of Recovery By Design, a ‘design therapy’ program that serves people with mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities, it is my assertion that the practice of design has therapeutic potential and can aid in the process of recovery. To the novice, the practices of conception, shaping form, and praxis have empowering benefit especially when guided by Conditional and Transformation Design methods together with an emphasis on materiality and vernacular form.

'The Writing Writes Itself': Deleuzian Desire And The Creative Writing Mfa Degree, Ginger Walker

This post-qualitative inquiry project investigated subjectivity (sense of self) among graduates of creative writing Master of Fine Arts (MFA) programs. The project asked how subjectivity is involved in the creative writing process and how that process fuels further writing after a creative piece (such as the MFA thesis) is completed. A post-qualitative, thinking-with-theory approach was used to explore the role of subjectivity among four anonymous graduates of creative writing MFA programs who provided writing samples describing their creative writing processes. Following the thinking-with-theory approach, the data were analyzed using Deleuze and Guattari’s theory of productive desire. Study findings are presented …

The purpose of this study is to examine the lived experiences of 18 African American women who went to Kenya, East Africa as part of a Cultural Reconnection delegation. A qualitative narrative inquiry method was used for data collection. This was an optimal approach to honoring the authentic voices of African American women. Eighteen African American women shared their stories, revelations, feelings and thoughts on reconnecting in their ancestral homeland of Africa. A software development process is a mechanism for problem solving to help software developers plan, design and structure the development of software to solve a problem. Without a process to guide the structured evolution of a solution, it is extremely likely that at least some aspect of the resulting software will be omitted or incorrectly implemented. For the last two decades, federal legislation and Massachusetts’ state ABE policies have linked adult learners’ educational outcomes to performance systems and accountability requirements. These outcomes, represented as ‘goals’, reflect an emphasis on return-on-investment strategies and outcome-based accountability measures. Greatest emphasis is placed on that subset of adult learners’ goals that are easily measured, attainable, and that are associated with public outcomes. This dissertation, in contrast, seeks to understand the goal setting process from the perspective of learners and local ABE stakeholders. White Religious Educators Resisting White Fragility: Lessons From Mystics, Mary E. Hess

Decades of work in dismantling racism have not yielded the kind of results for which religious educators have hoped. One primary reason has been what scholars term “white fragility,” a symptom of the structural racism which confers systemic privilege upon White people. Lessons learned from Christian mystics point to powerful ways to confront and resist the siren call of such formation and instead to make resisting racism an integral part of Christian identity for White people.

Teachers are the foundational component of the education system. Annually, they are required to engage in professional development opportunities to expand their knowledge. Since 1985 there has been a profusion of legislative attention to the reading disability dyslexia. Included in legislation is the mandate for teacher training, but there is a lack of research on effective professional development to increase teacher knowledge of dyslexia. This study compared three models of professional development to assess their efficacy in increasing declarative knowledge of dyslexia for elementary general education teachers. The purpose of this study was to contribute to the limited body of research on the factors that impact the ability of instructional coaches to be highly effective in their multi-faceted roles. Specifically, the study examined the perceptions of instructional coaches regarding the effectiveness of varied professional learning experiences in addressing their own professional development needs and how instructional coaches interpreted their role and function as well as the knowledge and skills they deemed essential in performing their duties.

Afro-Latinas, Latinas of African descent, exist at the intersections of culture, race, gender, and class, and this position informs how we experience our world. This unique experiential perspective is present when we decide to attend college. It was the goal of this research project to explore the post-secondary educational experiences of Afro-Latinas. One particular group of Afro-Latinas was the subject of the research project: Afro-Boricua women.
