Purpose

This study aims to develop and test a process model of the effect of social media use by business-to-business (B2B) salespeople on their value cocreation and cross/upselling performance. Adopting a research acquisition perspective, the authors claim that salesperson’s social media use is critical for generating social capital – an operant resource characterized by superior market knowledge, reputation and networking – which, in turn, directly and synergistically enhances value cocreation and cross/upselling outcomes.

Design/methodology/approach

(Feb. 10, 2023)—ETSU Gatton College of Pharmacy’s American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists Patient Care Operations committee hosted local Girl Scout troops and facilitated learning activities for the scouts to participate in related to first aid and each operations mission. 

Operation Heart & Diabetes explained how to handle urgent first aid issues, like an epi-pen for allergic reaction). The scouts participated in an interactive science experiment to show how blood flows and how it can be stopped in the case of an emergency. The girls made their very own portable first aid kit to take home.

ChatGPT has captured the popular imagination because of its conversational voice, its wide scope of ‘knowledge’, and far-ranging abilities. In this paper, we use an innovative interview method to introduce CPAs to ChatGPT, its development, and the current state of its capabilities. We then draw upon our own expertise to discuss the evolution of large language models, suggest applications of large language models (LLMs) in the field of accounting, critically evaluate LLMs’ current strengths and weaknesses, and propose five principles to effectively and safely leverage LLMs in the accounting domain.

How Desirable Is The Medium? Effect Of Point Accumulation Scheme On Consumer Loyalty Toward Reward Program, Eujin Park

An accruable point scenario study was applied to examine the effect of the point-accumulation trend (diminishing vs. increasing) and the nominal value (small vs. large) of a medium for repeated consumption on program loyalty. The results showed that both factors affect consumer loyalty toward a reward program. Consumers who received a medium with an increasing accumulation trend and a large nominal value perceived a reward to be more valuable than those who received a diminishing trend and a small nominal value. In the current study, we explore how women decide whether to accept or reject a potential match offered by a dating app (Tinder). Specifically, we were trying to identify overlying factors that influence the decision and understand how women make a judgment based on limited cues provided by a Tinder profile. Women largely base their decision on the perceived attractiveness and character of the potential match. The findings suggest that attractiveness is highly subjective, with no universal rules that can be quantified; thus, it is hard to predict acceptance of the potential match. How does residential mobility affect our purchase behavior? This research explores the relationship between residential mobility and preference of purchase type, with psychological processes. The study primed participants with either a high or low mobility mindset to investigate the effect of mobility on consumption style in U.S. and South Korean. The purpose of this paper is to investigate information privacy and security awareness among online social media (OSM) users in the Ibadan metropolis, Nigeria. Building upon the social exchange theory, some factors that could influence the disclosure of private information on social media were identified. Political legitimacy-building and tourism studies help to explain how and why China’s governing regime advanced Red Tourism to justify and reinforce its governance and legitimacy. A historical analysis of multilevel Chinese sources shows that the expressivity and value-ladenness that characterize visits to select historical sites permit governing regimes to softly augment their political legitimacy via political identity formation, political meaning framing, and nationalistic mobilization.

Effective irrigation management is critical for future food supplies and the prosperity of producers engaged in irrigation production. Through a deficit irrigation field experiment, we determine the financial impact on producers caused by changing irrigation costs, corn prices, extreme weather events, and restricting irrigation levels. Results suggest that the optimal economic strategy within our constrained optimization model is to fully irrigate, with the economic impact highly dependent on commodity prices, restriction level, and irrigation costs. The greatest economic losses caused by irrigation restrictions come from decreases in yield. Some simulations resulted in negative profits, indicating that a switch to alternative …
