To Seek Or Not To Seek? An Inquiry Into Feedback-Seeking Behavior Among Non-Clinical Healthcare Workers, Abigail R. Ortiz

Understanding what motivates non-clinical healthcare workers to seek feedback in the workplace is critical in supporting such behavior within organizations. This study aims to answer the following research question “Why do non-clinical healthcare workers seek feedback in the workplace?” To conduct this study, I analyzed 13 semi-structured interviews with non-clinical healthcare workers. Findings confirmed the presence of four self-motives (self-assessment, self-improvement, self-enhancement, and self-verification). Additionally, study findings highlighted the presence of other-oriented motives, when individuals seek feedback due to their concern or care for others (i.e., patients, teams, and supervisors). Research supports this outline, giving background to the types of scams, and prevention strategies currently seen in the cybersecurity landscape. This research study explores the relationship between a CEO’s public statements and a firm’s abnormal stock returns by focusing on the case study of Elon Musk’s tweets and Tesla’s stock price over the course of 2021. A longitudinal dataset is constructed by analyzing how the information contained in tweets affected Tesla’s short-run stock price. The textual data is analyzed based on CEO tweets, the daily frequency of tweets, explicit and implied fundamentals, and sentiment. The content of Elon Musk’s publications may lead TSLA to have abnormal returns. The tweets are able to capture influences from fundamentals and psychology. When Elon …

Augmented reality (AR) integrates virtual content into a consumer's perception of the real world. While academic interest in AR is growing, most prior research has focused on consumer evaluations of AR content and neglected the physical context in which AR content is consumed. Addressing this research gap, two experimental studies showed that context (e.g., experiencing a virtual sofa at home vs. in a university classroom) impacts consumer judgments and evaluations. In this study we determine the economic value of deficit irrigation management using both technological and methodological advancements. The use of soil moisture probes represents the technological improvement. We provide improvements in the methodology as follows. Regarding data, we employ a field-size study, instead of plots, where the irrigation decision is determined by the moisture level in the soil measured through a soil moisture probe. Regarding the understanding of the yield response to water, although we examine the commonly used quadratic function, we improve upon this specification by also examining an alternative response function, the linear response stochastic plateau. This study examines the effects of risk message frames on tourists’ post-pandemic travel intention via the meditation of loneliness and went further to investigate the roles of conflictive family atmosphere and risk propensity in moderating these effects. A situational experiment was conducted in China resulting 622 valid responses. The study found that respondents in risk attenuating frame had higher travel intention than those in risk amplifying frame; social loneliness partially mediated the effect of risk message on travel intention. Conflictive family atmosphere moderated the effects of risk message on social loneliness and travel intention. And risk propensity alleviated the negative …

Grades measure student academic performance. While students are often grouped based on their grades, the diversity of student background can also influence their scholarly activities. Our project investigates the different factors that can influence student grades. Using data visualization techniques and regression analysis, we find that absences and a presence of ADD/ ADHD have a negative impact on deter1nining a student's grade while homework hours have a positive impact.

After being given data from the County Health Rankings for Texas in 2021, we wanted to determine the leading causes of death in Texas counties for the given year by utilizing the data and other variables found to estimate multiple linear regression models that would help form a conclusion. Statistical research and literature have shown that there are several leading causes of death in the United States: heart disease, cancer, COVID-19, and unintentional accidents being the top four. After comparing our data to current literature, we found that our results only somewhat aligned with one another.

We took data on thirty-seven different countries that are members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), to ensure we could get as much data on these counties as possible.
