This study examined how the Amman Stock Exchange evaluates the effect of earnings yield and dividends yield on stock market prices and determines the duration of this evaluation. The study period extends over five years, from 2012 to 2016, and the study sample consists of 41 publicly held industrial firms listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. The data analysis shows a significant effect of earnings yield on stock market price at the 1% level in the earnings realization year, while dividends yield does not affect stock market price at the 5% significance level for the same year. CEO influence on non-GAAP earnings is a growing area of research. Risk-taking by CEOs is one way to gauge the extent of CEO influence on firm outcomes, especially non-GAAP earnings. This research examines the association between CEO sports hobbies, a proxy for CEO risk-taking, and their company’s non-GAAP earnings. In addition to the risk-proclivity of the CEO, non-GAAP earnings are the result of firm size, equity, return on assets, and changes in revenue. Dr. Stacey Fisher is one of six teachers making up the inaugural Distinguished Educator Council of the Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission (TNFLC). Fisher, who teaches at ETSU at Sevierville, is a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in ETSU’s Clemmer College of Education and Human Development.

The Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement Act (SECURE Act) of 2022 made a second round of changes (relative to the SECURE Act of 2019) to the required minimum distribution (RMD) schedule for individual retirement accounts (IRAs) and defined contribution retirement plans. Excel spreadsheet calculators are developed to calculate the new annual RMD cash flows throughout retirement for those who are retired and for those who are planning to retire. While the analysis of the tourist experience often relies on the visual representations, recent research also increasingly calls for a multisensory understanding of tourism research. Soundscapes are an emerging type of tourism attraction that contributes to the protection and promotion of the sense of place. Departing from the use of video in ethnographic practice, this research notes illustrates the features of soundscapes in nature-based tourism research based on video auto-ethnography. Results show that the sounds of water, animals and gastronomy are evocative of people, places and practices in nature-based tourism experiences.

The quality of those menus is often questioned and in the present context where children’s obesity and overweight are increasing, it is relevant to pay attention to the different environments where children eat. In terms of per-capita aviation emissions, New Zealand ranks sixth for international and fourth for domestic aviation emissions among other countries. Professional tour guides (PTGs) play an instrumental role in Australia’s tourism industry, however, there is little understanding of their perspectives regarding their challenges, expectations, belonging, and recognition. Anecdotal evidence suggests that they lack a voice and feel neglected within the tourism industry. This study adopted an interpretivist approach to capture the voices and perspectives of 19 Australian PTGs, through focus group discussions and one-on-one interviews. The Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance

We examine the relation between ownership structure and M&A target selection when family firms pursue public firm acquisitions. We find that family firm acquirers select targets that have lower Tobin’s Q relative to non-family acquirers. Our results suggest that family firms choose to acquire less glamorous targets against which they can better negotiate. The market reacts more positively to these family firm acquisitions at announcement and out to one year. It is family firm target selection skill along with negotiation skill that leads to the favorable market reception.
