A Moment Of Peace: An Artistic Representation Of The Influence Of Healthcare On Social Disruption, Nafisa Choudhury

HCA Healthcare Journal of Medicine

Health work can provide a zone of comfort, spread solidarity and understanding, and manage the human toll of war. Healthcare workers have major roles in peace-keeping efforts as a result of these determinations and their impact on peace should be acknowledged and lauded. We hope that as we …

Through a systematic review of relevant literature, this research complements Giddens' structuration theory with MacIntyre's thoughts about cultural components that make up the cognitive structure and shows that worldview - a virtual structure in cognition that corresponds to the structure of society - is the force that determines the influence and change of traditions. Therefore, different …

Kori’un, the existence of facts and fiction overlap each other. The author created the country of smoke as a fictitious world due to his contemplation on the consumption culture, which is a phenomenon in people’s lives and relates it to …

Metamorphosis: An Exploration Of Transformation In Artmaking, Scarlet Sevits Apr 2021

Metamorphosis: An Exploration Of Transformation In Artmaking, Scarlet Sevits

Honors Projects

My creative project begins with wanting to know how the art making process relates to the process of metamorphosis and the extent to which this process can achieve realism. To explore this question, I chose related subject matter that is the female mythological figures of Ovid’s epic poem Metamorphoses who undergo transformation of the human body. I also chose a methodology that relates to my question. The acts of painting and writing can be explored as processes of transformation and both processes attempt to convince the viewer or reader of reality: the reality of a living figure or the emotional …
