The current organizational autoethnographic study aims to problematize ableism as an ideology that permeates and contributes to the inequities students with disabilities face in education. I share how I came to see ableism as an ideology that permeates and contributes to recursive practices in special education and share experiences that illustrate to school leaders ableist assumptions that are ingrained in leading a Special Education Center. Using organizational autoethnography, I share my experience as a first-year principal to provide a first-hand account of recursive practices within the educational organization, rooted in ableism, and discuss how those practices affected both myself, as …

Creating an environment where teachers feel trusted and responsible is not just a suggestion but a necessity. In this essay, I underline the indispensable role of school leaders in balancing autonomy and accountability and acknowledge the fact that empowered teachers are the cornerstone of engaging and successful learning environments. I discuss the crucial role of teacher agency in fostering effective education and strongly advocate for the primacy of trust building, collaboration, tailored professional development, and teacher leadership within schools and districts. A strong correlation exists between school attendance and positive school outcomes such as increased graduation rates, stronger sense of belonging, and a higher grade-point average (Churchill et al., 2021; Daily et al., 2020; Allensworth & Easton, 2007). Therefore, school administrators implement strategies that foster positive attendance behavior for students. Attendance data is quantitative in nature and, while quantitative data is needed for decisions related to policy and best practices, qualitative data may better identify root causes of truancy behavior. Regular and effective faculty performance reviews are essential for maintaining high educational standards. When higher education institutions lack effective strategies to develop and implement effective faculty evaluation processes, teaching quality and institutional success are negatively impacted. Grounded in Freeman’s stakeholder theory and the Baldrige Excellence Performance Framework, the purpose of this qualitative single case study was to explore strategies that some leaders of higher education institutions used to develop and implement faculty evaluation processes. In recent years, an increasing amount of pressure has been placed on K-12 school principals to engage as instructional leaders to increase student achievement. Historically, however, principals were expected to operate as school managers instead of instructional leaders, and therefore, often felt unprepared as instructional leaders. Many principals also faced barriers, such as time constraints, that impeded their ability to be effective instructional leaders. To remedy this problem of practice, school districts repurposed the principal supervisor role to provide both supervision and coaching for principals. In today’s society, the development of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) is imminent yet, large segments of the world remain marginalized. I contend that peer-to-peer and inter-institutional networks can be used to connect local with global systems to close this divide. Using today’s virtual and digital technologies the gap can be bridged using collaboration platforms using different knowledge systems that do not simply replicate the same information. هدفت الدراسة الكشف عن أثر أساليب التدريس الحديثة في تحسين مستوى أداء طلبة الصفوف الأساسية في المدارس الحكومية، وتمثل مجتمع البحث من جميع الإداريين (مديري المدارس) في محافظة اربد، وبلغ حجم عينة الدراسة (150) مديرا تم اختيارهم بطريقة العينة العشوائية، واعتمدت الدراسة منهج البحث الوصفي، كما تم تصميم أداة الاستبيان لجمع البيانات التي تسهم في الإجابة عن تساؤلات الدراسة من العينة، حيث تم توزيع (200) استبيان واسترداد (150) استبانة صالحة لأغراض الدراسة، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى فاعلية أساليب التدريس الحديثة في تحسين مستوى أداء الطلبة حيث تبين وجود أثر ذي دلالة إحصائية، كما كشفت عن تفسير مقياس أساليب التدريس الحديثة ما …
