Refocusing Roles ...A Look At Refocusing Programmatic Emphasis From Living Units To Amenity Spaces In Apartment Living, Laura Mae Kneebone
Masters Theses
As growth within cities increase, so does the demand for living options within the city context. A cultural shift is drawing more individuals and families back into the heart of cities instead of fleeing to the outskirts of surrounding highway towns.

Micro-unit apartment housing has become the trending answer to this need, providing compact affordable living spaces within the core of a city. Micro-unit apartments can be currently found in most …

Empowered Pursuit: A Reflective Essay On Using Creative Learning In The Syracuse City School District, Danielle Mae Lewis
Honors Capstone Projects - All
Within the Syracuse City School District, students have been struggling to thrive in an educational environment that focuses on standardization. In 2012, only 48% of high school seniors graduated with a high school diploma in the city of Syracuse. Numerous theories have been discussed as to why students have failed to succeed, with a large portion of these centered on the problems created by the No Child Left Behind Act.
This reflective essay constructs and deconstructs the research and conceptual work produced surrounding the topic of creative learning within the Syracuse City School District. Initial research, summarized in this paper, …

Visual Analysis And Design Proposal For The Bridges Organization Day Facility In Rockledge, Florida, Lesa N. Lorusso
Architecture Masters of Science Program: Theses
The population by age of the client and staff at the Bridges Facility in Rockledge, Florida represent a microcosm of the population of Brevard County, Florida. Information Technology Project Management Of The New College Of Education Facility At Western Kentucky University, Christopher Lee Roberts
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
Information Technology (IT) Project Management methodologies are numerous, often varying from organization to organization, and sometimes from project to project within the same organization. Although project type and scope can be a powerful indicator of what methodologies may work best for a given project, choosing which methodology to use can be daunting for project teams. At times, even after due diligence has been practiced to identify the management options available for a given project, there may not be a perfect fit. At such times, or when a formal methodology does not exist in an organization or project management office, the …

The Active Learning Center is intended to provide classroom space combined seamlessly with library space to meet these needs. Members of the Libraries faculty and staff conducted a series of information-‐gathering activities to gain insight into the range of activities, work practices and preferences that the new building must support. It is our hope that the building will indeed support these activities, serve as a centrally located, flagship building for Purdue University, and support and inspire learning for …

Throughout my four years of education and experience in the design world I’ve come to realize that the reason why I love design is because it can change people’s lives by improving the way they use space. My goal as a future designer is to create sustainable, functional and aesthetic spaces that perform for the people who work, visit and live in them. I love designing because it can make a difference.

Design Philosophy
A well-executed design is a unique expression of one’s personality and character shining throughout a space. The amount of creativity, simplicity and vast knowledge that goes into a design is something we pride ourselves on. However the more we learn the less certain we are that we know everything. Design is constantly evolving; we must never stop educating ourselves, if we do we are just creating more limitations to our …

Philosophy of Design
A space is an opportunity to express yourself with color, texture, pattern, and shape. It is my goal to create a space that meets my client’s vision and allows them to love their space more than they ever have. An Interior Designer is simply the phase between an idea and reality.

Design Philosophy
I strive to meet others in their wholeness and individuality. To see them as unique individuals. The end goal is to create modern spaces that contribute to the health, safety, and welfare of the public. I design to bring a genuine smile to the many people I encounter.
Always reminded that each space needs to be as beautiful as its future owner. Therefore, we must always keep in mind to stay dedicated to the job and always respect the value of craftsmanship. Bringing contemporary design to a new client is always a thrill, but bringing satisfaction …

With each brush stroke and step to get to the final product, form and function is a viable aspect in designing every space. To achieve this I believe one must work hard for what one does, as it reflects the outcome of their work.
