On March 15, 2018, TxDOT conducted an intensive archeological survey for the proposed to FM 186 roadway improvement project. The project consists of a minor road widening This proposed project would widen FM 186 from two 12-ft. wide travel lanes with 2-ft. wide shoulders to two 12-ft. wide travel lanes with 4-ft. wide shoulders for approximately 8.8 miles along FM 186 from Castellaw Road to the FM 186 terminus in Dimmit County, Texas. (B&A), on behalf of KMF Water LLC, at the request of Kimmeridge Energy, conducted an archeological survey within a portion of an Antiquities Conservation Grant Easement (ACGE) located within the Nicolls Tract in service of the Kimmeridge Energy Pipeline in Reeves County, Texas. A 100-percent visual inspection of the 0.62-acre project area was conducted, complemented by eight shovel tests and two creek-bank scrapings. On February 12 and 14, 2018, Moore Archeological Consulting, Inc., conducted an intensive pedestrian archeological survey of seven separate permit areas (within four separate tracts of land) located along the Sam Houston Parkway toll road. The tracts are spread over a 2.83 km (1.76 mile) length portion of the roadway, from just north of Green Shadows Drive to north of Pine Street, in Pasadena, Texas. The tracts will be developed into detention basins, with an expected depth of impact of eight feet. The project engineer, Clark & Fuller, PLLC, retained Terracon Consultants, Inc. to conduct a systematic, intensive pedestrian survey of the approximate 20-acre project area.
