Rising obesity rates, particularly among children, pose a significant public health concern. Of particular concern is the prevalence of childhood obesity in rural communities, with up to 38% of rural children classified as overweight or obese, compared to 30% of urban children. Rural communities often lack the typical built environment characteristics associated with increased physical activity rates and healthy eating behaviors. Further, research on obesogenic environments within rural areas is limited. This study aimed to address this research gap by examining the association between obesogenic environment features and childhood overweight/obesity rates across the urban-rural continuum.

Purpose: The rate of infant mortality serves as a crucial indicator of the overall health of society (CDC, 2022). The five leading causes of infant mortality are birth defects, preterm birth, sudden infant death syndrome, injuries, and maternal pregnancy complications. The prevalence of infant mortality varies across states, with eastern states and minority-ethnicity infants having higher prevalence. Body dissatisfaction contributes to disproportionately high rates of disordered eating behaviors observed in Black teenagers. Given that self-compassion is found to buffer against eating pathology and body dissatisfaction and is linked to reduced incidences of binge eating and disordered eating behavior. Analisis Survival: Hubungan Konversi Sputum Dengan Keberhasilan Pengobatan Pasien Tuberkulosis Resistan Obat Di Indonesia, Shena Masyita Deviernur, Nurhayati Adnan

Angka keberhasilan pengobatan Tuberkulosis Resistan Obat (TB RO) di Indonesia masih rendah. Konversi sputum dapat menjadi monitoring awal untuk memantau keberhasilan pengobatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara konversi sputum <3 bulan dengan keberhasilan pengobatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kohort retrospektif dengan data yang bersumber dari sistem informasi tuberkulosis Kementerian Kesehatan RI. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pasien TB RO yang memulai pengobatan tahun 2020-2021 di Indonesia dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 8.025 kasus dan participation rate sebesar 88,6%. Kurva Kaplan Meier dengan uji log-rank dibuat untuk analisis deskriptif, sedangkan analisis regresi Cox digunakan untuk melihat hubungan antara konversi sputum dengan keberhasilan pengobatan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 45,9% pasien konversi sputum < 3 bulan pengobatan dengan 74,6% memiliki keberhasilan pengobatan. Secara keseluruhan median time untuk keberhasilan pengobatan berdasarkan konversi sputum < 3 bulan adalah bulan ke-18. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan konversi sputum < 3 bulan 1,25 (95% CI 1,18-1,34) lebih tinggi peluangnya untuk mencapai keberhasilan pengobatan dibandingkan pasien yang tidak konversi < 3 bulan setelah dikontrol oleh status HIV dan paduan pengobatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa monitoring konversi sputum dapat menjadi cara untuk melakukan monitoring keberhasilan pengobatan sedini mungkin. Konversi sputum merupakan standar yang dilakukan untuk pemantauan pengobatan pasien TB RO. Namun jumlah laboratorium yang dapat melakukan pemeriksaan untuk konversi pada pasien TB RO masih terbatas. Perlu adanya perluasan layanan dan peningkatan mutu layanan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan konversi sputum pada pasien TB RO.

This study used stereotactic biopsy data for microcalcifications to evaluate the stepwise implementation of 2Ds in screening mammography. Prevalensi global stroke dan sindrom metabolik, sebagai kumpulan faktor risiko utama yang mempengaruhi stroke terus mengalami peningkatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat hubungan antara sindrom metabolik dan kejadian stroke di Indonesia. Desain studi ini adalah cross-sectional dan menggunakan data survei skala nasional. Responden berusia >15 tahun yang mengalami stroke dengan data lengkap terkait pengukuran lingkar perut, tekanan darah, kadar glukosa darah, trigliserida, dan kadar high-density lipoprotein akan masuk dalam studi ini. Model regresi logistik digunakan dalam analisis kami. Dari 24.451 responden, studi kami menunjukkan mayoritas berusia <55 tahun (73,9%), perempuan (62,2%), dengan proporsi penderita stroke serta proporsi sindrom metabolik adalah 1,2%, dan 24,4%. Studi ini memperlihatkan adanya hubungan antara sindrom metabolik dan kejadian stroke (adj POR: 2,4; 95% CI: 1,9-3,1). This qualitative interpretive study aimed to describe the experiences of 13 American Indians living in urban settings and their use of traditional healing and biomedical health services for type 2 diabetes. Urban American Indian adults living in the United States who used traditional healing and biomedical health services for type 2 diabetes were recruited for the study through purposive sampling, including snowball sampling. Thirteen participants completed semi-structured interviews. Participants reported positive experiences and barriers to traditional healing and Western biomedical services. Background Size at birth, an indicator of intrauterine growth, has been studied extensively in relation to subsequent health, growth and developmental outcomes. Our umbrella review synthesises evidence from systematic reviews and meta-analyses on the effects of size at birth on subsequent health, growth and development in children and adolescents up to age 18, and identifies gaps.

Methods We searched five databases from inception to mid-July 2021 to identify eligible systematic reviews and meta-analyses. For each meta-analysis, we extracted data on the exposures and outcomes measured and the strength of the association.
