Many factors contribute to the declining total fertility rate, including family planning programs. The successful implementation of the family planning method might be influenced by how the decision to choose a contraceptive method was made. This study aimed to examine the correlation between family planning decision-makers and modern contraceptive use among married/in-union women of reproductive age in Uzbekistan. The 2021-2022 Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey was used by selecting only married/in-union women of reproductive age of 15 to 49 years, totaling 2,794 eligible samples. But when stigma, prejudice, or misinformation occur, parents who use substances can be exposed to added barriers to accessing care and support. This fact sheet addresses solutions to these barriers.

The Spring 2023 Tigers Care Vaccination Status and Views/Opinion Survey sought to capture perspectives on COVID-19 vaccination within the Texas Southern University community during spring festivities, engaging 126 respondents. Findings revealed that 86.29% were fully vaccinated, predominantly with the Pfizer vaccine. Among respondents, 78% had received a booster, and 42% expressed willingness to get a new booster in 2023.

Hesitancy was reported by 40% of participants, driven by concerns about long-term effects and vaccine safety. On average, someone in the United States has a myocardial infarction every 40 seconds, and someone dies of a stroke every 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Studies support coronary artery disease as a significant contributor to cardiac arrest in a non-hospital setting (Yannopoulos et al., 2019). BACKGROUND: Metabolite signatures of long-term alcohol consumption are lacking. To better understand the molecular basis linking alcohol drinking and cardiovascular disease (CVD), we investigated circulating metabolites associated with long-term alcohol consumption and examined whether these metabolites were associated with incident CVD.

METHODS: Cumulative average alcohol consumption (g/day) was derived from the total consumption of beer, wine, and liquor on average of 19 years in 2428 Framingham Heart Study Offspring participants (mean age 56 years, 52% women). Introduction: This study examines factors associated with psychostimulant misuse, including polysubstance use and social factors, among the understudied American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian (AI/AN/NH) college student population.

Methods: Data were from the 2015 to 2019 American College Health Association-National College Health Assessment IIc (ACHA-NCHA IIc) survey. Multivariable logistic regression models and odds ratios were used to estimate associations between psychostimulant misuse and potential risk and protective factors among AI/AN/NH college students, including licit and illicit substance use, social support, relationship factors, exposure to violence or abuse, mental health symptoms, drug and alcohol education, and sample demographics.

A modified version of the Eating and Food Literacy Behaviors Questionnaire (EFLBQ) with a new construct called cooking enjoyment was developed and validated. The instrument was titled the Eating and Food Literacy Behavior Questionnaire with Cooking Enjoyment (EFLBQ-C). The EFLBQ-C was developed with data from 18- to 30-year-olds who attended a university in the United States collected by an online survey platform.
